This invention discloses the use of
chitosan in reducing
carbofuran residues in crops. It involves exogenously applying carboxylated
chitosan to crops treated with
carbofuran. For hydroponically grown crops, the method of exogenously applying carboxylated
chitosan is as follows: dissolve the carboxylated chitosan into a
stock solution, then add it directly to the
nutrient solution or dilute it to a set concentration and spray it onto the
crop leaves. For soil-grown crops, the method of exogenously applying carboxylated chitosan is as follows: dissolve the carboxylated chitosan into a
stock solution, dilute it to a set concentration, and then apply it directly to the
crop roots or spray it onto the
crop leaves. This invention discovers the effect of exogenously applying carboxylated chitosan on promoting the
metabolism of
carbofuran in maize, and explores the possible mechanism by which carboxylated chitosan promotes the
metabolism of carbofuran in maize through
transcriptome sequencing analysis, providing a reference method for the regulation of
pesticide residues in plants.
