Foaming of simulated stone structures

Simulated stone, masonry, and brick textured products such as siding having a foam backing or with the hollow parts injected with foam or molded with foam in one or more steps, obtained when specially selected materials are properly admixed and formed via molding techniques. The foam backing is applied to the product in either a one or two step process. The foam backing may be used on panels, wall structures, and other products that may have contoured and textured surfaces and may simulate the appearance of conventional building and construction materials including, but not limited to, stone, brick, masonry, concrete, stucco, wood, other conventional building materials, and combinations of any of these materials are disclosed. The foam backing provides improves thermal insulation, improved sound reduction, improved rigidity, and improved dimensional stability. The disclosed invention is not limited to products in the building or construction industries and may be applied in the manufacture of a wide variety of products in other industries.

Digital Printed Applique Emblem

A process for applying digitally printed applique” indicia which results in decorative and identification elements for decoration and identification when applied to uniforms, fashion, “basic” and performance apparel, swimwear and intimate apparel as well as other textile products, the elements being an alternative to direct embroidery, embroidered emblems, thermo-transfer films, silk screen or sublimated printing. The production process includes the following phases (FIGS. 3A-C): a design phase (1); a separation phase (2); a printing phase (3); an optional traditional embroidery phase (4); and an etching / cutting phase (5). The process can incorporate embroidered elements but has the benefit of reducing or eliminating portions of stitching and or extra applique layers in the emblem. The resulting product has superior care and durability characteristics to screen printing and heat transfers as the image is more wash fast and can be ironed. The heat or pressure transfer capability can allow much faster customization of finished garments.

Wall covering with stone appearance

A wall covering having a plurality of panels. The panels are molded to disguise the panel's individuality after installation. The panel's outline is jagged to terminate horizontal and vertical partition lines of the panel's front surface. The partition of the panel's front surface is not aligned with the horizontal and vertical edges of the front surface's outline. The panels are attached to a wall to create a substantially random appearance. This invention is especially suited to create wall covering with the appearance of random ashlar stone layout. Multiple molded panels having different front face partitions may be used to increase the random appearance. Molding the panels is simplified by molding parts of the panel interlock mechanism separately.

Method for simulating, fabricating, or duplicating an oil painting

A method for simulating, fabricating, or duplicating an oil painting is provided. The oil painting digital image information is acquired by scanning or capturing an oil painting surface image, and / or digitally simulating or rendering an oil painting surface image. A white paint is daubed on a base layer. A stereoscopic oil relief model, forming a stereoscopic oil relief layer, is acquired by topographically scanning the oil painting surface in three dimensions, and simulated or duplicated onto the base layer with a white or colorless transparent composite material. An image receiving layer is daubed on the stereoscopic oil relief layer. The oil image information, forming a printed oil painting surface image, is output and printed onto the image receiving layer with an inkjet printer. A transparent resin layer is daubed on the printed oil painting surface image, protecting the printed oil painting surface image with stereoscopic oil relief layer.

System and method of applying a gel coat brush stroke pattern over an image surface

A system and method for automatically applying a gel coat brush stroke pattern over an image surface secured to a support is described. A liquid gel applicator dispenses a predetermined quantity of transparent liquid gel on the image surface. A brush stroking machine is provided with a plurality of brush head modules which are connected to a reciprocating linkage. The linkage causes reciprocal arcuate displacement of bristles secured to the brush head modules. An adjustable support positions the bristles over the image surface for contact with the liquid gel dispensed thereon by the liquid gel applicator. A conveyor displaces the support with the image surface facing up under the liquid gel applicator and the bristles of the brush head modules along a straight axis whereby reciprocating displacement of the bristles imparts brush stroke patterns in the liquid gel over the image surface.

Housing having woven appearance and manufacturing method thereof

A housing having a woven appearance includes a substrate and a plurality of groove groups formed on the surface of the substrate. The groove groups define the woven appearance and are formed by etching. The housing may be made by using a film having a lightproof areas and a light-transmissible areas, the lightproof areas defining a woven appearance. The film is placed over a metal substrate having light-sensitive materials formed thereon and radiated with light. The light passing through the light-transmissible areas of the film solidifies the light-sensitive materials. After, removing the film from the substrate and cleaning un-solidified light-sensitive materials from the substrate to expose areas corresponding to the lightproof area, and an etching process is carried out to form the woven appearance on the exposed areas.
