Free-space optical (FSO) laser communication systems offer exceptionally wide-bandwidth, secure connections between platforms that cannot other wise be connected via physical means such as optical fiber or cable. However, FSO links are subject to strong channel fading due to atmospheric turbulence and beam pointing errors, limiting practical performance and reliability. We have developed a fade-tolerant architecture based on forward error correcting codes (FECs) combined with delayed, redundant, sub-channels. This redundancy is made feasible though dense wavelength division multiplexing (WDM) and/or high-order M-ary modulation. Experiments and simulations show that error-free communications is feasible even when faced with fades that are tens of milliseconds long. We describe plans for practical implementation of a complete system operating at 2.5 Gbps.

Provided is a fuel cell system that can suitably control a voltage converter in response to a judgment that an abnormal condition occurs in a power detection unit that detects a power passing through the voltage converter. The fuel cell system has: a first power detection unit that estimates an effective value of a converter input power by multiplying the converter input power, which is obtained from a battery voltage and a battery current, by a converter efficiency; a second power detection unit that estimates a converter output power from a fuel cell voltage, a fuel cell current and a driving motor load power; and a third power detection unit that estimates a converter flowing power from a current of a reactor measured by a current sensor (shown in a separate drawing). The fuel cell system also has similar detection units for current, and using one of the detection units or a combination of some of them, specifies a malfunctioning sensor and prohibits correction of parameters.

The invention provides a detachable drawer slide, comprising a supporting seat, an outer slide, an inner slide and a locking mechanism. The drawer slide is characterized in that the locking mechanism comprises a reed; wherein one end of the reed is a fixed end connected with a web plate of the inner slide, while the other end is an elastic movable end which is raised towards one side of the outer slide; the movable end is provided with a through hole; the outer slide is provided with a stop lug raising towards the reed on the web plate; the stop lug can be received in the through hole to prevent the inner slide from separating from the outer slide. A method, an apparatus, and a system for Coordinated Multi-Point (CoMP) transmission are provided, which can effectively improve the transmission reliability over the control channel and flexibility of the application. The invention can resolve the problem of resource indexes of uplink control channels colliding with each other. Thus, reliability of the transmission of control information is improved.

A method for changing a force control gain expressed as a ratio of force error to velocity command value in a control circuit performing a force control of a servo motor driving a die cushion disposed opposite to a slide in a press machine. The method includes: obtaining a difference between a displacement of the slide and a displacement of the die cushion in a state in which the slide and the die cushion collide with and are exerting force on each other; detecting the force when the difference of the displacements is obtained; calculating a spring constant of a structural portion based on a proportionality between the difference of the displacements and the force, when regarding the structural portion including the slide and the die cushion as an elastic structure; and changing the force control gain based on the spring constant using a fixed proportionality that exists between the force control gain and a reciprocal of the spring constant.
