Mechanism for transmitting a rotary movement with variable transmission ratio

A control mechanism (800) for setting a transmission ratio between a traction means (812), in particular chain, and a wheel set that is rotatable about a wheel axle and includes two or more wheel blades (810, 820, 830), in particular sprocket blades, adjusts the wheel rim sectors relative to a fixed plane of the traction means in a direction transverse to the plane of alignment. At least one of the wheel blades is composed of a plurality of independently adjustable wheel rim sectors (802, 803). By means of a control component (807) mounted decoupled from a rotary movement of the wheel set, a plurality of co-rotating thrust elements (804, 805) are each displaced via rotation-free couplings between a first and a second position at least in the axial direction, wherein each of the wheel rim sectors is connected in a rotationally fixed manner to a respectively associated thrust element. The first position of a thrust element corresponds to the position of the associated wheel rim sector outside the plane of alignment, whereas a thrust element located in the second position exerts on the respective wheel rim sector, at least as long the latter is outside the plane of the traction means, a force for displacing the respective wheel rim sector into the plane of alignment, thus shifting the same into the plane.

Returner incorporated in automatic feeder, and recording apparatus or liquid or liquid ejecting apparatus provided with the same

A feeding tray supports a plurality of media the media thereon. A hopper is provided on the feeding tray so as to be movable in a first direction for pushing the media toward a feeding roller so that a top one of the media comes in contact with the feeding roller, and in a second direction opposite to the first direction. A separator separates a first group including at least one of the media which is situated under the top one of the media from the top one, so that only the top one is fed to the downstream section by rotation of the feeding roller. A returning lever is pivotable interlockingly with the feeding roller and adapted to return a second group including at least one of the media in the first group, which has been proceeded from a prescribed position to the downstream section together with the top one of the media, to the feeding tray. A holder supports a third group including at least one of the media in the first group which is situated under the second group. The holder is slidable in the second direction interlockingly with the movement of the hopper in the second direction to move the third group toward the feeding tray to secure a space to which the second group is returned by the returning lever.

Safety syringe

Disclosed herein is a safety syringe. According to the safety syringe of the present invention, an adapter connected to an injection needle is threadedly coupled with the neck of a cylinder while interposing an O-ring therebetween. Thus, the movement of the injection needle is effectively prevented while in use, and thus the injection needle can be pricked accurately at a desired position of the patient's body. Since the adapter is formed with grooves, whereas a plunger is formed with two protrusions positioned diametrically opposite to each other so as to be inserted into the grooves, the adapter is rotated and then moved downwardly in accordance with the successive rotation and downward movements of the plunger after the adapter is released from the neck of the cylinder. The plunger is formed at its upper surface with a vertical rod extending upwardly from an eccentric position, whereas the adapter is defined with a conical cavity. The upper end of the rod is inserted into the cavity while being bent inwardly. When the injection needle is withdrawn into the cylinder, the injection needle is firmly tilted in a lateral direction due to the strong restoring force of the rod so that it can be collapsed simply against the inner surface of the cylinder. In addition, a circular plate is formed at a certain lower position of the plunger. The circular plate enables the user's fingers gripping the safety syringe not to come into contact with the plunger to be entered into the cylinder, thereby achieving the sanitary use of the safety syringe.
