The invention discloses a device and a method for controlling an intermediate state of polymer dispersed liquid crystal. The device comprises a laser light source for test, a chopper, a semi-transparent half mirror, a sample platform, a silicon photocell, a lock-in amplifier, an ultraviolet source and a computer terminal; the ultraviolet source is controlled to open by using the computer terminal, then emitted laser is reflected on the semi-transparent half mirror via the chopper by using the laser light source for test; the laser reflected by the semi-transparent half mirror irradiates the sample, and then the silicon photocell is utilized for probing the light intensity of the laser after penetrating through the sample, converting light energy into electric energy and measuring the voltage of the silicon photocell by using the lock-in amplifier; the measured voltage is transmitted to the computer terminal, and finally the ultraviolet source is controlled to close by using the computer terminal according to the received voltage, so that the photo polymerization process can be automatically finished. The computer terminal is utilized for carrying out data treatment and program control, so that the operation is convenient and the realization process is simple and fast.
