Method for permanent hair removal

A method for permanently removing hair utilizes the hair shaft and hair ducts to transmit light into the tissue sustaining the hair follicle, thereby permanently destroying or modifying the tissue in a manner which desirably mitigates hair growth. The method includes the steps of covering the patient's skin area with a high reflectance substance so as to substantially protect all skin components other than those sustaining the hair. The hair is optionally shaved or pulled out, and then the skin is illuminated with either a large-area electromagnetic radiation field for simultaneous destruction of multiple hair-follicles, or alternatively with a tightly-focused beam which destroys one hair at a time. Optionally, the beam may be rapidly scanned so as to destroy single hairs quickly in succession. The surrounding skin region is left substantially free of injury. This mitigates pain and enhances post hair removal healing.

Automated hair isolation and processing system

A device comprised of hair-flow-channel guides continuously moved over the surface of the scalp. A track cap of parallel tracks is placed on the head to guide device's movement over the scalp along non-overlapping rows. At the front of the device is a hair-tensioning straightener that pulls hairs perpendicular to the scalp before and during processing. A bend-under assembly, formed by two pinching conveyer belts, facilitates hair exit from the channels by bending scalp-attached hairs beneath the walls of each hair channel. Intermittent intersection of each channel by an obstructing member isolates one or a few leading hairs for processing and forces trailing hairs to wait their turn for cosmetic processing behind it. Isolated scalp hairs may be cosmetically processed in ways including coloration; cross-section reshaping, hair-extension attachment and removal, and cutting to length according to position along track. Hair extensions removed at one position along a track cap are conveyed to corresponding holding clips and loaded in an order so as to permit their reattachment to the same scalp area. Hair extensions so held can be channeled and isolated for attachment, as are scalp hairs. A bend-under assembly can be used to draw one or a group of isolated hairs longitudinally through the chamber in which they are isolated facilitating cross-sectional reshaping of hairs or cutting to a preprogrammed length. Intersecting member and cosmetic processing actuation synchronized by computer.

System and method for changing hair color in digital images

A system and method for digital hair coloring is described. A starting image of a subject including a hair region is obtained. At least one foreground selection of the starting image is obtained, the foreground selection including a portion of the hair region. At least one background selection of the starting image excluding the hair region is obtained. A matte defining a calculated foreground area of the starting image is calculated based on the foreground selection and the background selection. A target color distribution based on a target hair color is obtained. A color image is generated by applying a color transformation based on the target color distribution to at least the calculated foreground area of the starting image. An output image is generated from the colored image and the starting image.

Laser treatment device for hair growth stimulation

Disclosed is a laser treatment device which is designed to stimulate hair growth and prevent hair loss by applying LLLT (Low Level Laser Therapy) to the scalp using laser light of a specified wavelength. The laser treatment device also provides ultra-low frequency mechanical vibrations to the scalp and the combination of light and vibrations is designed to produce synergy. Laser light, which may be blocked by remaining hair, may nonetheless reach the scalp using light-emitting elements attached to the ends of tooth-shaped protrusions. The present laser treatment device is characterised by a bendable applicator having said tooth-shaped protrusions such that it can change shape in accordance with the curvature of the head, which increase the efficiency of light and vibrational energy delivery. The laser treatment device is optimally controlled with a means to measure the light and vibrational energy supplied to the scalp, and the applicator may also be used as a wearable headset, which provide greater simplicity in mounting and removal.

Dispensing stitching method and embroidery method for embroidery

The invention relates to a needle dispensing method and an embroidery method for embroidery. In the embroidery, the stitch length between two needle eyes is twice more than the diameter of the stitching thread and less than or equal to ten times of the diameter of the stitching thread, so that the stitches of the embroidery thread is of a spotted shape or a short-line shape on the front face of the embroidery fabric; and the stitches of the spotted shape or the short-line shape form embroidery patterns in at least one of four organizational forms, i.e. separation, overlapping, connection and crossing, and the embroidery patterns are arranged in a density-changing way on the plane of the embroidery substrate. The invention overcomes traditional prejudices and creates a novel embroidery stitching method, which shows light and shadow changes with discrete spots in the embroidery picture, and is particularly suitable for sketch representation, in particular to the texture of toner particles in toner sketches, the texture of mist obscuration in ink paintings, drag marks in calligraphy and fine parts in various embroidery pictures such as the eyes and hair of human beings and animals, branches, rods and the like. When in use, the invention can bring more transparency and three-dimensional feeling into the embroidery work, so that the embroidery work is more delicate with nimbus.
