Network address translation in a gateway

A gateway using multiple NAT tables to translate network addresses (e.g., Internet Protocol Addresses). The gateway may comprise a service selection gateway connecting remote systems to service domains. The gateway translates local addresses of remote systems to external addresses, and vice versa. The external addresses (bound to the respective local addresses) may be provided by the service domains. The NAT information is partitioned according to service domains such that the external addresses related to the same service domain are stored in the same NAT table. If there is no overlap of external addresses provided by two service domains, the two service domains may share the same NAT table. Due to the partitioning of the NAT information, each table may be limited to be of small size, and the accesses to individual tables may be fast. As a result, a gateway may be able to process and forward packets quickly.

Communication system, communication method for the same and mobile station and base station used for the same

When a downlink communication channel quality is informed of in the downlink packet communication using a shared channel, the communication channel quality for each RB that is obtained by dividing a downlink into a plurality of small bands (RBs) is informed of via the uplink. As the downlink band is getting wider, the number of RBs increases and the bands required to inform via the uplink also increases. Then, in the mobile station, RBs whose the communication channel quality is at a predetermined threshold or more are selected as a selected group, with the others considered as in the non-selected group, the information indicating which groups do they belong to is generated as a bitmap, and then the average value, the minimum value and the maximum value of the communication channel quality of the RBs are also obtained. Then the minimum or the maximum value is transmitted as a represented value of the selected group, the average value is transmitted as a representative value of the non-selected group, and also the bitmap is transmitted to the base station. At the base station, the communication channel quality for each RB is restored by replacing the communication channel quality belonging to the selected group by the minimum or the maximum value, and the communication channel quality belonging to the non-selected group by the average value.

Method and apparatus for performing adaptive control of beam forming

In a beam forming adaptive control method, a signal of each mobile station is separated from a set of signals received at a sector antenna from multiple mobile stations. The signals are transmitted in a code division multiple access scheme. The direction of arrival and the received power level of each path of the separated signals is calculated for each of the mobile stations. Then, spatial signal power level immediately before the signal is received at the antennas is estimated from the received power levels, based on the respective direction of arrival and sector antenna gain. Finally, the direction of the beam to be transmitted is determined based on the estimated spatial signal power level.

Method of recognizing RFID tag for the purpose of preventing thourghput inversion and RFID reader performing the same

InactiveUS20100026462A1Minimizing tag recognition timeOptimized frame sizeWireless architecture usageElectric testing/monitoringComputer scienceThroughput
A method of recognizing a tag in an RFID reader includes: obtaining a predetermined frame size in the case where throughput obtained by reflecting a slot length based on the remaining number of tags except for recognized tags within a frame progressing current tag recognition that substantially has a maximum value; and when the current frame size is different from the predetermined frame size, stopping the current progress of frame and changing the current frame size into the expected frame size. The method of recognizing a tag may further include when the current frame size is equal to the expected frame size, changing the current frame size into the frame size that does not cause a throughput inversion phenomenon for the remaining number of tags to be recognized within the frame progressing the current tag recognition. By the throughput inversion phenomenon, the occurrence of throughput loss can be prevented and the tag recognition time is reduced to recognize the tags at high speed.

Multiplication method and multiplication circuit

A multiplication method and a multiplication circuit, wherein a multiplicand is multiplied by a multiplier using a multiplication process, the result of the multiplication is added by an addition process to a rounding signal to be output from a rounding signal generation process, and the result of the addition, i.e., a multiplication result obtained after rounding, is stored in a register. By a barrel shifter, the multiplication result obtained after rounding stored in the register is shifted by a bit count indicated by a shift bit count signal. The shift bit count signal output from an instruction control process is input to the barrel shifter and a rounding signal generation process. The rounding signal generation process generates a rounding signal on the basis of the shift bit count signal indicating the bit count used to shift the multiplication result after rounding. By carrying out a rounding process in the addition process by using the rounding signal, the rounding process can be carried out at an appropriate position desired by the user without increasing instruction code or storage.
