The crop seed counting method overcomes the defects such as low seed counting speed and low efficiency in traditional seed breeding. Furthermore image processing technology is successively applied on the seed breeding field. Through verification on five kinds of crop seeds, the identification rate is above 99%. The processing time on a common PC is lower than three seconds, and therefore high speed and high accuracy in seed counting are realized.
