A prosthetic tri-leaflet valve formed by involuting a portion of a tubular structure inside itself. The valve can be made by a method comprising providing a tubular segment in which three equidistant longitudinal incisions are made in one end of the tube creating three flaps which are involuted, i.e., folded, in toward the inside of the tube and the edges of the flaps secured to the inner wall of the tube to form leaflets. The tube can be formed of a single sheet of synthetic, organic or biological material and can be solid, woven, braided or the like. A braided configuration permits the valve to be annularly compressed and delivered to the site using a minimally invasive delivery mechanism, then expanded at the implantation site.

An intravascular implant delivery system carries an implant by retaining an engagement member engaging the implant in a position proximal of an aperture at a distal end of the delivery system. The engagement member is retained proximal to the aperture by a cord that obstructs the movement of the engagement member through the aperture. The engagement member is free to rotate and move within an area defined by the delivery system, allowing the implant to react to forces imparted to the implant by the movement of the delivery system and implant through a delivery catheter. Once the implant is in a desired implant position, the cord is moved away from an aperture and the engagement member is allowed to move away from the delivery system.

The vehicular pneumatic tire includes an outside region that includes an outside shoulder block row and an outside circumferential groove, an inside region that includes an inside shoulder block row and an inside circumferential groove, and a center region that is laterally delimited by the outside circumferential groove and the inside circumferential groove. A plurality of transverse grooves are arranged within the inside shoulder block row, and the plurality of transverse grooves further are arranged to extend into the center region. No more than about one-half of the plurality of transverse grooves are arranged to at least nearly entirely traverse the center region and are oriented to form an angle to a circumferential equator line of no more than approximately 30° over at least one-third of their longitudinal extensions. The process includes forming an outside region to include an outside shoulder block row and an outside circumferential groove, forming an inside region to include an inside shoulder block row and an inside circumferential groove, and laterally delimiting a center region with the outside circumferential groove and the inside circumferential groove. The process further includes arranging a plurality of transverse grooves within the inside shoulder block row and to extend into the center region. No more than one half of the plurality of transverse grooves are arranged to at least nearly entirely traverse the center region and are oriented to form an angle to a circumferential equator line of no more than approximately 30° over at least one-third of their longitudinal extensions.

LED packages are disclosed that are compact and efficiently emit light, and can comprise encapsulants with curved and planar surfaces. The packages can comprise a submount with a one or a plurality of LEDs, and in those with a plurality of LEDs each of the LEDs can emit the same or different wavelengths of light than the others. A blanket conversion material layer can be included on at least some of the LEDs and the submount. The encapsulant can be on the submount, over at least some of the LEDs, with each of the planar surfaces being vertical and aligned with one of the edges of the submount. The encapsulant can also have a upper curved surface with a relatively large radius of curvature, with the combination of curved and planar surfaces resulting in efficient emission of light with a relatively narrow emission profile.

A support pillow for supporting an infant during nursing, comprises a generally U-shaped base having two free ends, a top surface and a bottom surface, and two infant securing straps attached to the base. The present invention provides a wheelbarrow having a collapsible frame assembly. The wheelbarrow also includes a hopper and a wheel. The frame assembly includes a wheel brace assembly, a first adjustable leg assembly, a second adjustable leg assembly, a first handle member and a second handle member. The wheel brace assembly is narrow relative to the hopper. The first adjustable leg assembly and the second adjustable leg assembly are pivotally coupled to the wheel brace assembly. The first and second leg assemblies are each structured to move between a first configuration and a second configuration. In the first configuration, the first and second leg assemblies are structured to be closer to the centerline of the wheelbarrow, and/or frame assembly, so that the width of the legs/brace sub-assembly is relatively narrow.

Advanced ultrasonic welding components of co-pending application Ser. No. 12/925,652 are readily incorporated into new form-fill-seal machines, but owners of existing machines utilizing heat-seal stations were unsuccessful at swapping the sealing packages. Retrofit kits to a replace heat sealing station with an advanced ultrasonic sonotrode and anvil comprise: a housing; a linear rail fixed thereto; first and second bearing carriages being slidable upon the rail; and first and second fluidic muscles. Each of the fluidic muscles is mounted with a first end fixed to a respective housing wall, and a second end fixed to a respective bearing carriage, permitting actuation of each carriage through pressurization and depressurization of the muscles. In-line arrangements of anvil/sonotrode, bearing carriages, the first fluidic muscle, and the second fluidic muscle provides a narrow profile, permitting side-by-side kit installations for retrofits accomplishing duplex sealing on a horizontal machine.

Disclosed is a method for removably connecting two groups of individual, parallel fibers that are delimited by end faces that are perpendicular to the fiber axis. The two groups of fibers are moved towards each other in an axial direction until each of the fibers abuts against the end face of the assigned fiber from the other group. The fibers of the two groups are aligned in pairs relative to each other before being moved into contact with each other, and any differences in fiber lengths is compensated for by elastically deforming the fiber along the fiber main axis. This method eliminates the disadvantages associated with bending the fibers because length variations are essentially compensated for by axially compressing the fibers.

A device containing a solar cell is provided in the form of a stacked package that has a planar arrangement of conductive laminates at or below the surface of a heat sink. The planar alignment allows placement of electrical connections below the surface of the heat sink and reduces the vertical profile of the device, making it easier to be hermetically sealed. In specific embodiments the solar cell substrate is embedded within the heat sink during the manufacturing phase, eliminating the need for a thermally conductive substrate between the solar cell and the heat sink.

An implant inserter is adapted to secure and facilitate insertion of a surgical implant. The implant has an inserter attachment interface having a narrow external opening at a surface thereof and a broader internal opening. The implant inserter includes a handle and an inserter shaft. The implant inserter also includes a pair of flexible tabs extending from a distal end of the inserter shaft with laterally extending protrusions adapted to extend into the broader internal opening and an expansion shaft adapted to selectively extend between the flexible tabs whereby the expansion shaft prevents flexion of the flexible tabs such that the laterally extending protrusions secure the surgical implant, and whereby when the expansion shaft does not extend between the flexible tabs, the flexible tabs can be flexed inwardly to cause the laterally extending protrusions to have a narrower profile that is able to be passed through the narrow external opening.

A utility trailer having a low profile storage configuration. The trailer includes a frame, wheels, mounting assemblies for the wheels, a removable tongue and a wiring system. Each mounting assembly includes a swing arm and a shock absorber that are joined by a hub that is easily removable and in turn is rotatably joined to a wheel. Each swing arm is pivotally joined to an underside of a side rail of the frame. Each shock absorber is pivotally attached to an inner side of the side rail and each wheel is positioned outwardly of a respective side rail opposite a respective shock absorber. The wiring system includes a harness located in the interior of the tongue. The wiring system also includes a plug mounted on the frame and a receptacle mounted on the tongue that automatically mate when the tongue is joined to the frame.

A stacked package for a solar cell is provided with a planar arrangement of conductive laminates on the surface of the heat sink. The layered conductive laminate offers multi-directional orientation of the solar cell within the package by eliminating any orientation requirements between the chip and the substrate, and offers multiple options for placement of standard or flipped bypass diodes. The packaged solar cell of the invention provides a smaller horizontal and vertical profile than standard solar cell packages, making it easier to hermetically seal the package.

A modular circuit breaker assembly structured to be disposed within a light pole that includes a housing assembly, a mounting assembly disposed within the housing assembly, a circuit breaker coupled to the mounting assembly, and a plurality of conductors. The light pole has an elongated body with a cavity. Within the light pole cavity is a line conductor and a load conductor, each of which terminate in a coupling device. The modular circuit breaker assembly plurality of conductors include at least one line conductor and at least one load conductor, the modular circuit breaker assembly at least one line conductor and modular circuit breaker assembly at least one load conductor coupled to, and in electrical communication with, the circuit breaker. Thus, the modular circuit breaker assembly may be installed as a unit within the light pole cavity with the circuit breaker assembly line conductor coupled in electrical communication with the light pole line conductor and the circuit breaker assembly load conductor coupled in electrical communication with the light pole load conductor.

The lever arm portion overlies the second and third knuckles of at least the second through fourth toes of the wearer. An applied force on the lever arm portion translates into a force against the big toe prying it from out and from under the wearer's second toe. The applied force is typically supplied by the wearer's shoe or sandal.
