A heated water dispensing apparatus has been described. The heated water dispensing apparatus includes a reservoir for retaining a quantity of water, a selector for selecting a temperature of water and a volume of water to be dispensed, and a controllable dispense valve for automatically dispensing water from the reservoir. The heated water dispensing apparatus also includes a weighing assembly which generates a weight control signal relating to the volume of water dispensed through the dispense valve and at least one device outlet valve for providing heated water to a remote device. The heated water dispensing apparatus also includes a controller. The controller operates the dispense valve in accordance with the weight control signal so that a selected volume of water is automatically and accurately dispensed. The controller also operates the dispense valve to prevent dispensing of water through the dispense valve before water of a selected temperature has been produced. The controller operates the device outlet valve so that a predetermined quantity of water at a predetermined flowrate and a predetermined temperature is dispensed to a selected remote device.

Packaging System With An Improved Inner Structure

A package includes a slide card that is received in an outer sleeve having a false end wall. The false end wall extends between a top wall and a bottom wall to enhance the structural integrity of the outer sleeve. The false end wall provides child resistance in that it prevents a user from manipulating the outer sleeve to inadvertently disengage a locking feature that lockably retains a slide card in the outer sleeve. The false end wall also prevents a user from accessing the slide card through an opening that is created by removing an end wall.

Automatic dispenser for hand-sanitizer lotion

An automatic dispensing apparatus for dispensing hand-sanitizer lotion, which is powered using a rechargeable battery pack rechargeable via solar cells, which battery pack is pivotally mounted in the upper interior section of the main frame of the dispenser, above the liquid-storage bag, whereby as the liquid storage bag is depleted after continual use, the weight of the battery pack serves to compress the storage bag to thereby increase the pressure therein, so that the delay of the dispensing of the liquid does not increase over time as the bag becomes depleted. Also provided is a lower, pivotal tray located below the dispensing nozzle of the dispensing apparatus by which drippings and excess dispensed amounts are caught by the tray and do not fall upon the floor therebelow. A front cover is rotatable to an upper position such that it does not rotate back down by itself in order to allow unencumbered access to the interior of the apparatus for changing storage bags and batteries. The apparatus also contains an aerosol spray canister for spraying a sanitizing mist into the ambient surroundings after the apparatus has dispensed sanitizing fluid onto the hands.

Apparatus for and method of dispensing chemical solution in spin-coating equipment

A chemical solution is uniformly dispensed from a nozzle by N2 in spin-coating equipment. The dispensing apparatus includes a canister configured to receive a bottle containing the chemical solution, gas supply piping connecting a source of N2 to the inside of the canister, a pressure control valve disposed in the gas supply piping, a chemical supply line by which the bottle is connected to the nozzle, a pressure sensor for sensing the pressure of the chemical solution supplied from the bottle, and a controller that controls the pressure control valve on the basis of the pressure sensed by the pressure sensor. The controller opens the pressure control valve further when the value of the signal output by the pressure sensor is less than a value representative of the minimum of a predetermined pressure range, and closes the pressure control valve further when the value of the signal output by the pressure sensor is greater than a value representative of the maximum of the predetermined pressure range. The degree to which the pressure control is open is thus controlled by feedback from the pressure control sensor such that the pressure of the chemical solution remains substantially constant as it is dispensed from the nozzle.

Apparatus for use in dispensing tinted paint

Readable tags on paint chips and on paint cans are used to manage the dispensing of tinted paint to customers so that the paint chips can be monitored to control the recipes and the inventory of chips and the paint cans can be detected to ensure the use of authenticated paint. The tags are preferably contact readable by printed conductors on the chips and on the cans. Further tags can be used to input further paint characteristics. The tinting machine can also store in memory the tint recipe used in a particular can so that it can be later reproduced in a second can. An over-ride switch is provided in the case the system fails and if the customer wants a particular recipe, in which case the recipe actually dispensed is stored in memory. Analysis of the can codes is carried out to prevent counterfeiting of the cans is carried out either in real time or subsequently.

An inhaler

An inhaler is provided with a closure which may be moved between a closed and open position in order to cover and uncover a mouthpiece. The closure is associated with a revolvable element comprising a restricting member. Movement of the closure from the open position to the closed position causes the revolvable element to revolve around an axis X thereby placing the restricting member in a restricting position which restricts relative movement between a container unit and the housing such that unintentional actuation of the inhaler is prevented. The inhaler is useful, for example, in the treatment of asthma.

Money handling machine

A money handling machine of the present invention includes a denomination-specific storing portion, money transport unit that transports money to a dispending portion and transport starting unit that starts, with the money transport unit, transport of the money stored in the denomination-specific storing portion. The money handling machine receives an instruction to dispense money, performs dispensing money in which the amount of money to be dispensed out of the money stored in the denomination-specific storing portion is only transported to the dispensing portion and performs dispensing limitation processing in which the transport of money determined not to be allowed to be dispensed is prevented from being completed. The dispensing processing includes the first step of starting the transport of the amount of money corresponding to the instruction to dispense money and the second step of transporting, after completion of the first step, money from the denomination-specific storing portion to the dispensing portion such that a shortage of dispensed money produced by performing the dispensing limitation processing is replenished. In this way, it is possible not only to prevent money that is not allowed to be dispensed from being dispensed and to accurately dispense money corresponding to the instruction to dispense money but also to more quickly perform the dispensing processing.

Systems and methods for fuel dispenser security

Systems and methods for fuel dispenser security are disclosed herein. In some embodiments, a user seeking access to a protected function of the fuel dispenser is presented with a challenge that is encrypted using a secret key that is unique to the fuel dispenser. To access the secured function, the user must obtain a session password from a server which authenticates the user, decrypts the challenge using a counterpart of the secret key, determines whether the user is authorized to access the secured function, and returns the session password extracted from the challenge only when the user is authorized. The server can thus control access to certain fuel dispenser functions according to a set of user access privileges. The challenge can also include additional information which can be used by the fuel dispenser and / or by the server to store a log of access activity.
