The invention discloses a deep
eddy current testing device based on a flux gate
magnetometer and a use method. The deep
eddy current testing device is mainly used for solving the problems of interlayer gaps existing in multilayer composite or forbidden use of a ultrasonic
coupling agent that are adverse to
ultrasonic testing in the prior art. The device comprises a gantry type measuring frame, wherein a
fine tuning screw rod is arranged above the gantry type measuring frame; a probe is arranged on the flux gate
magnetometer; an exciting coil is arranged under the probe; a two-dimension moving platform is arranged under the exciting coil; a
signal generator generates a
low frequency electromagnetic field in a certain amplitude through the exciting coil and generates
eddy current in a sample; the flux gate
magnetometer and the probe are used for measuring the
magnetic field of the eddy current; and after a lock-in
amplifier demodulates, a computer is used for collecting. According to the scheme, the deep
eddy current testing device can be used for clearly distinguishing the defects in linear and crossing shape and realizing the
nondestructive testing for the conductor joints. For the conditions of interlayer gaps existing in multilayer composite or forbidden use of a ultrasonic
coupling agent for testing, the deep
eddy current testing device has ultrahigh practical value and popularizing value.
