This invention is a sheet processing array having an imaging station, an in-site, an exit-site and a transport array connecting all of them. The transport array is adapted to advance sheets from the in-site, past the imaging station for imaging the first face of the sheet and to advance it to a reversing transport section. This section has a series of rollers arrayed in a loop which continually rotate in one direction and are adapted to provide non-stop forward movement that turns the sheet over and returns it to present its opposite face to the imaging station for imaging. The sheet is then advanced to the exit-site.

The invention relates to methods of transvascular retrograde access placement into a central blood vessel and to devices that facilitate these methods. The method includes positioning a vascular catheter within the vessel such that its distal end faces a desired exit site on the vessel wall, passing a penetrating device from the catheter through the vascular exit site and skin of the patient; and passing a secondary vascular catheter through the exit site and into the central blood vessel. An introducer for a catheter and a closed-end infusion catheter are provided. The catheter may be porous or may have a number of holes in which to infuse anesthetics into a body area of a patient. The introducer allows for introducing and proper placement of the catheter in the body of the patient. In addition, a method for using the introducer to place the catheter in the body of the patient is provided. The introducer may pierce the skin of the patient and may be inserted through the subcutaneous layer to an exit site. After a portion of the introducer protrudes through the exit site, the catheter may be attached to the introducer. A Tibiotalar Arthrodesis Guide (TAG) used for fusion of the talus to the tibia is comprised of several basic components. The main component is a straight guide post upon which other components can slide. A curved arm is featured at the end of the straight guide post, featuring points at the ends which serve as indicators of the pins' exit sites based upon the lines of action of the parallel pins. Embodiments described herein include apparatus for securing and protecting medical tubes, such as a PICC line, which are inserted at an end into a body of a human or other animal. According to one aspect, a medical tube protective sleeve apparatus is provided with a securing strap to secure the apparatus to the body. A first pad has an opening through which the medical tube can be placed. The first pad is connected to the securing strap so that the first pad may be secured to the body, positioned such that the medical tube may be threaded from an insertion point of the body through the opening of the first pad. A second pad is attached to the first pad and may be used to secure onto the first pad to protect the PICC line and exit site from containments. The second pad further includes a securing pocket to allow longer PICC lines to be tucked away/curled-up to avoid being snagged in clothing or other surfaces.

A medicated apparatus including a medicated patch for use onto a subject undergoing peritoneal dialysis is disclosed, according to an embodiment of a present invention. The patch includes a medication layer containing a medication therein, and a backing film disposed on one side of the medication layer. The patch also includes a skin adhesive layer disposed beneath the medication layer; and a protective liner disposed beneath the skin adhesive layer. The patch is placed on a catheter by applying pressure to skin of a subject after insertion of the catheter therein, thereby holding the catheter and the medication diffusing into the skin prevents an exit site of infection.
