The test method comprises the steps of: controlling a first test region to display a first image and controlling a second test region to display a second image during a time period t1-t2, and controlling the first test region and the second test region to display the first image during a time period t2-t3; acquiring avariation L1(t) of luminance L1 of the first test region varying with time during a time period t1-t3, and acquiring a variation Y2 (t) of a test parameter Y2 of the second test region varying with time during the time period t1-t3; and calculating a value of a variation C(t) of an image persistence parameter C varying with time after noise removal during the time period t1-t3 according to C(t)=Y2(t)-K*L1(t). Since the noise is just removed by the difference between the Y2(t) and KL1(t), and the value of C(t) is the value after the noise is removed, the test result of the image persistence isnot affected by the noise.

The driving method has the advantages that visual comfort can be improved, image persistence can be reduced and response time can be shortened.

The invention relates to a liquid crystal aligning agent, liquid crystal alignment film and liquid crystal display device. The invention provides a liquid crystal aligning agent having a high voltage retention and low image persistence property. The liquid crystal aligning agent comprises a mixture of the following polyamic acid, its imidized polymer or other imidized polymers, in which the proportion of imide coupling units ranges from 5 to 80%. The polyamic acid is obtained by incorporating 1,2,3,4-cyclobutane tetracarboxylic acid dianhydride and 1,4-diaminocyclohexane, bicyclo[2.2.1]heptan-2,6-bis(methylamine), 1,3-bis(aminomethyl)cyclohexane, isophorone or alkyl substituted compounds of these diamines, as at least a part of a tetracarboxylic acid dianhydride and of a diamine compound.

The invention discloses an image drive method and a system as well as a liquid crystal display (LCD); wherein, the image drive method comprises the following steps: an overdrive operation for a pixel of a piece of primary color on a flat-panel display is implemented, a plurality of overdrive corresponding tables are provided to different primary colors, and the periods of the response time of the light-transmitting media for transmitting the primary color lights are differentiated to eliminate the aberration due to image persistence. Provided is a self-luminous display device including a data calculation section configured to calculate, by using a supplied video signal, data relating to a luminance amount accumulated in a unit of a first block in a target region for luminance control in a screen on which a plurality of pixels are arranged in a matrix, each of the pixels including a light emitting element which emits light by itself according to a current amount, a resampling section configured to resample the data relating to the luminance amount in the target region, in a unit of a second block, the data relating to the luminance amount being calculated by the data calculation section, the second block being larger than the first block, and a scaling section configured to generate data for luminance control in the target region by scaling the data resampled by the resampling section. According to the invention, the luminance can be calculated according to the video signal, and the image persistence phenomenon of the screen can be inhibited flexibly by controlling the video signals.

Image permanence is always one of the most important attributes for thermal inkjet photo media. Currently, polyvinyl alcohol, cellulose and gelatin are the most common binders that have been used in inkjet media development. Both polyvinyl alcohol and cellulose do not provide very good image permanence. Gelatin does provide an excellent image permanence, but gelatin has severe curl problems at cold and dry conditions. Therefore, to find or develop a new binder to provide good image permanence and humid fastness is an important focus. The use of water-soluble polyvinyl acetal can provide not only the good light fastness and humid fastness on inkjet prints but also minimize the curl and stiffness issues at cold and dry conditions.
