713 results about "Multi language" patented technology

Multilingual User Interface (MUI) is the name of a Microsoft technology for Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office and other applications that allows for the installation of multiple interface languages on a single system. On a system with MUI, each user would be able to select their own preferred display language. MUI technology was introduced with Windows 2000 and has been used in every release since (up to Windows 10). The MUI technology is covered by an international patent titled "Multilingual User Interface for an Operating System". The inventors are Bjorn C. Rettig, Edward S. Miller, Gregory Wilson, and Shan Xu.

Natural language processing-based multi-language analysis method and device

The invention discloses a natural language processing-based multi-language analysis method and device. The method comprises the following steps of: selecting to input a natural language text information language category through a language detection training model; obtaining word embedding expression information of corresponding words which can be recognized by a computer through a trained word vector model, and extracting a keyword of the obtained word embedding expression information through a TF-IDF manner; calculating an article vector and a category vector of each preset category according to the keyword and a keyword weight, and calculating a similarity between an article of natural language text information and each preset category so as to determine a text classification result ofthe natural language text information; and inputting the word embedding expression information of the natural language text information into a trained convolutional neural network and a parallel-framework text emotion analysis model of a bidirectional gate circulation unit, and obtaining a final emotion tendency value through calculation. According to the method and device, the problem that traditional multi-language analysis method needs to know domain knowledges of related linguistics and needs plenty of manpower to carry out operation is solved.

Method for assigning large sets of characters in different modes to keys of a number keypad for low keypress-data-entry ratio

A key assignment method assigns large sets of alphabetic and other characters and functions to the keys of a standard numeric keypad for text/data entry on an electronic device. Two letters are assigned in pairs to each key of the standard 12-key keypad in a first character mode, and other symbols, characters, or infrequently used letters are assigned in a second or more optional character modes. A mode selection key is provided to select between the modes. In the first character mode, a keypress of a key selects the first letter of the pair and two keypresses in succession selects the second letter. The letter pairs may be assigned in alphabetic order, except for infrequently used letters, such as ‘Q’ and ‘Z’, or in QWERTY order, or in pairs of a more frequently-used letter with a less frequently-used letter. By comparison to the standard phone keypad layout having an average KPD=2.2, this method can achieve a KPD=1.4 or lower. The standard directional arrow keys (RDI keys) may be used for mode selection in multiple character modes. Using the RDI mode selector can transform the conventional 12-key telephone keypad into the equivalent of a 60-key data entry layout (or expandable by 48 more keys for each additional mode keystroke used), thereby allowing operation comparable to a full QWERTY keyboard of characters, with enhanced symbols and functions, and/or with multi-language character sets.
