Ergonomic animal suspender harness vest

An animal suspender vest harness controls and provides protection from the elements at the same time. This one piece design has a wide band, starting mid-chest, extending around the ribcage. From this a mid portion, extending to the shoulders, with right and left suspender straps extending over the shoulders, criss-crossing diagonally at mid-chest, attaching to the bottom of the ribcage band., where they all connect together. Top center of the ribcage band, is an opening with a connection strap, holding a D-ring to attach a leash. The ergonomic criss crossing suspender strap design, provides a uniformed pressure distribution across the bony structures of the animal only, without applying pressure to the unprotected neck. Additionally, with elastic built into the shoulder areas and the connecting ring strap, along with the wideness of the vest, reduces's the force placed on the animal, and dissipates it across a larger surface area.

Vehicle crash wall

A vehicle crash wall with a series of overlapping metal plates attached to a retaining wall by means of a metal sleeve inserted into a female receiving tube. Located between the metal plates and retaining wall is an impact absorbing material. The metal sleeves, 3, are perpendicularly attached to the metal plates, 1, by inserting them into slip joints, 16, and inserting metal pins, 11, vertically through the top of said metal sleeves and into swivel hinges, 10, located beneath said slip joints. The female receiving tubes, 4, are located inside the middle of the retaining wall, 8, perpendicularly extending approximately half-way behind said retaining wall. Said metal sleeves are vertically supported by rollers arms, 5. Said metal plates are perpendicularly supported by cable hold backs, 6, and horizontally by support cables, 13. The force of the impact is evenly dissipated along the length of metal plates and energy absorbent material. This dramatically reduces the risk of injury to the driver and damage to his vehicle and the wall.

Two-way protective pad construction

InactiveUS20130312152A1Dissipate impact forceCushion blowChemical protectionHeat protectionDistal portionEngineering
A protective pad including a rigid shell bounded by a perimeter and a gasket engaging the perimeter so that forces applied to the shell are dissipated through the gasket before transferring to a wearer of the protective pad. The rigid shell cooperates with the gasket to provide a trampoline effect or two way spring. This effectively absorbs shock from forces generated by the opponent, so that the wearer and a colliding opponent both encounter reduced forces. The shell can bow outwardly to form a cavity above the wearer when the gasket is placed adjacent the wearer, which can prevent the rigid shell from bottoming out against the wearer upon impact. The protective pad can be implemented in a thumb protector including a stopper disposed between adjacent rigid shells covering proximal and distal portions of a digit. The stopper can engage the shells and effectively prevent hyperextension of the digit.

Walking leg support

Apparatus attaches to the leg at or below the knee to take the shock of walking off the foot and ankle. The foot is encased in a boot. Two spaced-apart tubes extend upward from a subfloor mounted below the boot. The boot is mounted for sliding up and down on the tubes. A pair of parallel elongate rods are attached at their upper ends to the upper portion of the leg at or below the knee, such that the lower ends of the rods are in the tubes. A spring, preferably a gas compression spring, is inserted into each tube so that the lower end of each rod compresses the spring as body weight is put on the subfloor in walking. The subfloor moves toward the boot as the springs are compressed, reducing some of the shock of walking and transferring forces to the leg. The rods may be attached to the leg by a cast, brace or orthosis.

Footwear sole

A footwear having a shock attenuating and cushioning sole is provided, including a base to which first and second wave elements are joined, each element including alternating crests and troughs. The crests are wide and can each form a ground contact surface, whereas the troughs can be narrower than the crests. Crests of one element are disposed adjacent the troughs of another element. The widths of the crests to those of the troughs can be in at least a 2:1 ratio. Forward and rearward ends of the elements are connected to the base, and the troughs intermittently join with the base to secure the elements between the ends and to impair lateral movement. Different groups of wave elements can be grouped together to form a forefoot section, a heel section and / or an arch section, with the sections separated from and compressible independent of the other sections.

Protective helmet cap

The present disclosure provides an apparatus for use in reducing the impact to the head during sporting activities. The present disclosure provides a helmet cap that covers an underlying hard shell helmet. The helmet cap has a durable, energy absorbing outer shell, which lessens the initial impact to the helmet. The outer shell is formed into segments of padded material that may deform on impact. The outer shell has an inner surface that allows the outer shell to slide over the surface of a helmet thereby reducing forces applied to a wearer. The helmet cap may be securely attached to helmets without modification of the helmets. The helmet cap may include an adjustable fastener that allows the helmet cap to be securely attached to helmets of varying dimensions.

Load limiting structure for vehicle occupant restraint system

A new and useful load-limiting device for a vehicle occupant restraint is provided. The load-limiting device comprises a mechanical structure designed to dissipate forces applied by a vehicle occupant to the load-limiting device during a crash, to absorb energy applied to a vehicle occupant during a crash. Moreover, the design of the load-limiting device of the present invention provides significant flexibility in designing the predetermined manner in which the load-limiting device dissipates forces during a crash, thereby providing flexibility in how energy of a vehicle occupant is absorbed during a crash. In its basic form, the load limiting device comprises a housing and a deformable member, at least one of which is configured for connection to a vehicle safety belt and the other of which is configured for connection to an anchor point (e.g. a structural part of a vehicle). The housing and the deformable member are moveable relative to each other in a predetermined manner when force is applied to the one of those members, and the housing supports a hardened member formed of a material which is harder than the deformable member and which is positioned to engage and deform the deformable member as the deformable member is being moved relative to the housing. The configuration of the deformable member can be designed so that the deformable member will deform in a predetermined manner under forces applied to the load-limiting device by a vehicle occupant during a crash.

Vehicle cover device and design

My invention is a multi-layered vehicle cover to protect the vehicle from hail and debris that may occur during a storm. The cover is multi-layered designed to provide a barrier of protection for a vehicle's outer surface during a storm. A vehicle's finish can be subject to damage and expensive repair due to foreign objects: hail, tree limbs, rocks etc., during a storm. The multiple layers of my invention provide for a resilient interior layer encased by weather resistant or waterproof outer layers. The resilient layer absorbs the force of contact with the incoming object. It dissipates the force over a larger surface area to prevent damage. It can also be used as a vehicle cover to help protect the vehicle even while not in the middle of a storm.
