A case for a bar type mobile electronic device is provided. The case includes a main body and an auxiliary body. The main body includes a periphery part and guide parts. The periphery part wraps the sides of the mobile electronic device. The guide parts cover parts of the front and back of the mobile electronic device. The guide parts are extended in the direction where the mobile electronic device is located at both opposite edges of the periphery part. The auxiliary body wraps the outer surface of the periphery part. The auxiliary body applies pressure to the main body in the direction of the mobile electronic device. The auxiliary body assists the main body to couple to the mobile electronic device, so that the case cannot be easily removed from the mobile electronic device and can protect the mobile electronic device from scratches and external impact.

A smart food chopping or slicing device comprising at least two moveable blade sets arranged in a grid like configuration. In an embodiment, the blade sets are configured orthogonally such that the cutting edges of both the blade sets remain substantially in the same plane. In another embodiment, the movement of one set of blades is independent of the movement of another set of blades. Yet, in another embodiment, said moveable blade sets are configured for lateral reciprocal movement. In a preferable embodiment, the plane of the lateral reciprocal movement of the cutting edges of the blade sets and the plane of the cutting edges of the blade sets are substantially the same or parallel planes. The present invention provides an optical device integrating an active device with a passive device without any butt joint structure between two devices. The optical integrated device of the invention includes a GaAs substrate, first and second cladding layers, and an active layer sandwiched by the first and second cladding layers. These layers are disposed on the GaAs substrate. The GaAs substrate provides a first region and a second region. The active layer comprises of the first active layer disposed on the first region and the second active layer disposed on the second region of the GaAs substrate. The invention relates to a kinetic energy accumulator, comprising a plurality of rotatably mounted accumulator members (100, 198) positioned adjacent one another, an input drive mechanism (116) arranged to impart rotational drive to a first of the accumulator members, and velocity responsive coupling members (106, 192) arranged to provide for magnetic coupling of successive ones of the accumulator members when respective ones of the accumulator members are caused successively to rotate with an angular velocity equal to, or greater than, a predetermined velocity. The present invention provides an optical device integrating an active device with a passive device without any butt joint structure between two devices. The optical integrated device of the invention includes a GaAs substrate, first and second cladding layers, and an active layer sandwiched by the first and second cladding layers, these layers are disposed on the GaAs substrate. The GaAs substrate provides first to third regions. The active layer includes first to third active layers disposed on respective regions of the substrate. Further, the actuating member can be prevented from deviating from a coupling range of the fixed member when the adjusting lever is released or fastened for a tilting operation, increasing a safety of a tilting operation of the steering column.

The control apparatus includes: an abnormality detecting portion (92) for detecting an abnormality of the engaging action of the coupling devices to establish one of the speed positions in which the vehicle is started in the motor drive mode; an emergency engine starting portion (94) for starting the engine to operate the mechanically operated oil pump when the abnormality is detected; and a temporary engagement canceling portion (98) for controlling the solenoid-operated valve for the above-indicated one coupling device such that the coupling device is brought into its released state, upon starting of the engine, the temporary engagement canceling portion controlling the solenoid-operated valve to restore the above-indicated one coupling device to its engaged state after starting of the engine.
