In the invention as disclosed, two different information signals having two different polarization states are transmitted, and at least one of the transmitted signals is subjected to an unwanted change of its polarization state. The received signals are processed to separate and recover the two information signals without regard to their polarization states.

The invention discloses an attitude control system for space vehicle and a method thereof. The control system has only one biased momentum wheel, one set of tri-axial magnetic torquer and one attitude controller loaded with algorithm. The method comprises a step of rate damping controlling, a step of initially capturing controlling and a step of stationarity controlling. At the rate damping stage, geomagnetism change is used to control the magnetic control of three passages of a satellite by B-dot; at the initially capturing stage, the magnetic control is realized, PD control is performed by pitching and the passages are rolled and yawed to carry out nutation and precession composite control; at the stationarity controlling stage, the magnetic control is realized, PD control is performed by pitching and the passages are rolled and yawed to carry out nutation and precession composite control. The capturing stage and the stationarity controlling stage fully depend on magnetic torquer to perform positive magnetic control, thereby changing which a satellite only uses a magnetic torquer to carry out unload of the momentum wheel or auxiliary magnetic control, so as to refine system configuration to further improve reliability of the system. Momentum of a satellite is biased to rotate on the ground, so as to ensure stable separation of the satellite without performing air injection control. Therefore, the magnetic torquer can be used for realizing fast and stable initial rate damping.

Spacecraft and aerospace plane having scissors wings

A spacecraft such as a fly back booster or a reusable launch vehicle, or an aerospace plane has a fuselage and a set of scissors wings consisting of two main wings. Both of the main wings are rotatably mounted on the fuselage and can be yawed at opposite directions. If the spacecraft is launched vertically, both of its main wings can be yawed to be generally parallel with its fuselage so that it can connect with other vehicle or vehicles to form different launch configurations. When the spacecraft or aerospace plane is flying in the air, landing, or taking off horizontally, it can yaw both of its main wings in opposite directions to maximize its lift-to-drag ratio by optimizing the yaw angle of the main wings according to flying conditions. It can also produce desired aerodynamic characteristics such as forming a high drag configuration by adjusting the yaw angle of its main wings. The scissors wings can be used on a spacecraft that is launched vertically on the ground, or a spacecraft that is carried to the air and launched in the mid-air, or a spacecraft that takes off horizontally like an aircraft or glider. The scissors wings can also be used on an aerospace plane.

A slat is selectively extended from a main wing body, with a concave rear surface of the slat facing a convex forward nose surface of the wing body, with a slat gap therebetween. At least one row of flexible bristles is movably arranged relative to the lower rear edge of the slat, to flexibly protrude up into the slat air gap. At least one row of flexible bristles is movably arranged along the upper rear edge of the slat to extend rearwardly over the slat air gap and the upper surface of the main wing body. The flexible bristles are flexibly self-positioning and self-contouring due to the aerodynamic forces acting thereon, to improve the air flow conditions through the slat gap, separate the slat gap airflow from an entrapped eddy vortex on the concave rear surface of the slat, and thereby reduce the aerodynamic noise generated along the slat gap.

Gel-filled seismic streamer cable

A gel-filled seismic streamer containing a hydroplane housing which isolates a hydrophone element from shear waves and mechanical forces but sensitive to pressure waves. In one embodiment, the gel-filled streamers contains a hydrophone housing with an air pocket at each end for isolating a pressure sensitive hydrophone element from mechanical noise generated by cable movement during seismic data acquisition operations. The hydrophone housing further provides a protective case to isolate a pressure-sensitive hydrophone element from shear waves. An inlet formed in the protective hydrophone housing enables pressure waves to be communicated to the pressure sensitive hydrophone element inside of the housing. In one embodiment, the pressure sensitive hydrophone element is a hollow gel-filled cylinder that expands radially outward into a second air gap formed in the housing. A protective case is also provided to isolate the hydrophone housing from shear waves. An alternative hydrophone housing for deployment inside of a streamer is also disclosed which fixably positions a positioning hydrophone or seismic hydrophone within the housing using rubber supports.

The method disclosed by the invention is simple in process, easy to operate and high in efficiency, and the obtained products are more stable.
