Input image data is first converted into brightness information by a brightness information calculation portion. The interest level within the image is then estimated by an interest level estimation portion based on that information. The vanishing point is then estimated by a vanishing point estimation portion. Next, a depth estimation portion estimates the degree of depth based on the distance from the vanishing point to a pixel i and the interest level of the pixel i, and calculates a depth correction gain value. A corrected image, obtained by controlling a depth correction image process based on the depth correction gain value, is converted to a predetermined image format and outputted by an output portion. Accordingly, by linking an interest level based on the brightness contrast/color contrast/blurriness amount with the depth estimation based on the vanishing point, the occurrence of abnormalities felt with images that do not properly match up with the perspective structure of the vanishing point, images that do not match the visual impression of humans, and so on can be reduced, making it possible to achieve a more natural and improved feeling of depth.

The invention discloses a videodisc positioning method combining a Gbvs model and a phase consistency. During a process of calculating the saliency graph, according to a characteristic of a videodisc in the eye fundus image, the brightness, the brightness contrast and the phase consistency are extracted, the significant model based on the graph is improved, and during a process of positioning the videodisc, a structure characteristic of the vein blood vessel is used to assist accurate positioning. An experiment proves that the method possesses a good effect.

The invention provides a multi-modality image fusion method based on a region and human eye contrast sensitivity characteristic, comprising the following steps of: (1) respectively utilizing a non-subsampled Contourlet transform NSCT to carry out multi-scale decomposition on a source image to be fused to obtain each stage of sub-band coefficient of the source image; (2) respectively formulating a fusion rule of a low-frequency sub-band coefficient and each stage of high-frequency sub-band coefficient according to a human eye vision contrast function LCSF, a human eye vision absolute contrast sensitivity function ACSF, a feeling brightness contrast function FBCS and a local average gradient sensitivity function LGSF to obtain each grade of the sub-band coefficient of a fused image; and (3) carrying out NSCT inverted conversion on the fused coefficient and reconstructing to obtain the fused image. The multi-modality image fusion method disclosed by the invention meets vision properties of a human eye and improves the quality of the fused image to a great extent; and the multi-modality image fusion method has robustness, is suitable for fusing a plurality of types of image sources of infrared and visible light images, multi-focusing images, remote images and the like, and has a wide application prospect.
