5 results about "Smart Battery System" patented technology

Smart Battery System (SBS) is a specification for managing a smart battery, usually for a portable computer. It allows operating systems to perform power management operations via a smart battery charger based on remaining estimated run times by determining accurate state of charge readings. Through this communication, the system also controls the battery charge rate. Communication is carried over an SMBus two-wire communication bus. The specification originated with the Duracell and Intel companies in 1994, but was later adopted by several battery and semiconductor makers.

Two-phase electric machine with intelligent battery system

Various technologies and embodiments are presented to operate a two-phase machine. The two-phase machine is powered by a first phase circuit comprising a first string of battery cell devices electrically coupled to the machine via a first supply line and a first return line, and a second phase circuit comprising a second string of battery cell devices electrically coupled to the machine via a second supply line and a second return line. One or more processors can be configured to control operation of one or more switches in the first and second strings of battery cell devices, such that a first voltage provided by the first string of battery cell devices is 90° out of phase relative to a second voltage provided by the second string of battery cell devices. The two-phase machine can be a motor comprising a stator with a two-phase winding pattern.

A battery data transmission method and system based on dynamic priority preemption time slots

The application relates to a battery data transmission method and system based on dynamic priority preemption time slots, which comprises the following steps: calculating the dynamic priority of a distributed node according to the data urgency, historical channel quality and basic priority of the distributed node; pre-empting the battery data transmission time slot according to the dynamic priority to perform battery data transmission; and performing a two-stage retransmission strategy to retransmit the battery data when the data transmission fails. The application breaks through the limitation of the fixed time slot allocation of the traditional time division multiple access communication strategy and adapts to the burst communication demand; when the wireless center node based on dynamic priority preemption performs time slot allocation and battery data retransmission, the communication conflict and real-time contradiction in the dense node scene can be effectively solved through software, the reliability, real-time performance and expandability of the system are significantly improved, and the application is suitable for intelligent battery system, electric vehicle, energy storage power station and other high-performance wireless center node application scenes.

A smart battery system with built-in energy management module and its health management method

PendingCN122455996AElectrical batterySmart Battery System
The application relates to a smart battery system with a built-in energy management module, comprising: a battery module assembled by multiple strings of battery cells through a precise pairing process; an integrated smart management mainboard integrated with a direct-current voltage stabilizing module, an energy management control unit, a BMS protection module, a data acquisition module and a main control MCU; a system power supply interface for connecting an external power line; a direct-current output interface for connecting an electric load; and a health display and alarm module for real-time display of a battery health state and implementation of graded alarm. The application completely internalizes the energy management function in the battery system, forms a smart system with one-to-one exclusive matching between the battery module and the energy management module, and thus the user does not need to equip an external electric energy supply device, and only needs to connect a power supply through a standardized interface to charge, thereby fundamentally eliminating the safety accidents caused by type mismatch, parameter mismatch and uneven quality of the battery and external devices in the traditional separated structure.

A chip integrated intelligent battery system

The chip-integrated intelligent battery system (CIBS) device allows an ultra-fast collection of high-fidelity battery data including, but not limited to, battery voltage, current, external and internal temperature, pressure, gaseous species, vibration and mechanical impact, during the cell operation from the moment the cell is manufactured. CIBS is integrated with actuator, microprocessor, data storage, data transmission, current sensor, voltage sensor, gas pressure sensor, gas species sensor, and power source leads, to provide instant feedback on various parameters inside the battery to assess the battery's performance. The data from CIBS is collected via an integrated or a discrete antenna and streamed wirelessly or through a wired system to a separate control device. Such a device can be part of or a discrete component of the battery management system.
