This invention discloses a cooling device and method for collecting
soil respiration gases. The device includes a motor, a water pump, a
breathing ring, a
water pipe, a water bucket, a switch, an external
power cord, a water inlet, and a water outlet. The motor and water pump are assembled together in a sheet
metal assembly box. The motor is fixed to the cover on the top surface of the sheet
metal assembly box, and the water pump is fixed to the base of the sheet
metal assembly box. The motor and water pump are connected by an
electric wire. The switch and external
power cord are installed at the rear of the sheet metal assembly box. A water inlet is set on the side of the sheet metal assembly box near the water pump, and a water outlet is set at the front of the sheet metal assembly box. The water outlet is connected to the
breathing ring through a
water pipe, and the
breathing ring is connected to the water bucket through a
water pipe. Water in the water bucket is connected to the water inlet of the sheet metal assembly box through a water
pipe. Ice blocks are placed in the water bucket. This invention solves the problem that the temperature in the breathing chamber gradually increases with the increase of the sealing time, thereby affecting the rate of
soil respiration and carbon emissions.
