A lamp includes a linearly extending heat sink, blue-light-emitting LEDs mounted on the heat sink, and a light emitting cover mounted on the heat sink in line with the LEDs, a first portion of the cover opposite the LEDs including a phosphor that is excited by the LEDs to emit white light. The cover may be a tube with the LEDs outside the tube, a portion of the tube nearest the LEDs being transparent and receiving light from the LEDs. The tube may include reflectors that are attached to an exterior surface of the tube to hold the tube on the heat sink. Alternatively, the cover may enclose the LEDs on the heat sink, where a portion of the cover has an interior surface that reflects light from the LEDs to the first portion. The lamp may include electrical connections that allow for multiple lamps to be connected in series.

This system has multiple modular parts which enable the system to function in various makes and models of vehicles. The present invention relates to an LED light bulb utilizing LED light sheets with illuminated curved surfaces and can be used as a replacement bulb. The LED light bulb comprises an LED light engine having first and second LED modules with first and second illuminated curved surfaces facing toward different illumination zones I1, I2 respectively and attached to a thermally conducive support block with an increased curved surface area for heat dissipation. Said first and second illuminated curved surfaces are curved about first and second axes A, B respectively and are arranged to be offset from each other with said axes A and B substantially perpendicular to each other such that an improved illumination with direct lights shone to at least six different sides of the light bulb and subsequently a substantially spherical illumination of dispersed lights may be obtained along with an enhanced cooling of the light bulb.

It is known to encapsulate various materials in polyurea microcapsules, but obtaining satisfactory microcapsules incorporating alcoholic materials has proven difficult. A process has now been found where polyurea microcapsules are formed by interfacial polymerization between an aqueous phase and a water-immiscible phase, and properties, particularly the solubility parameters, of the water immiscible phase are closely matched to corresponding properties of the polyurea. A method and apparatus is disclosed for forming lines of weakness in an automotive trim piece so as to enable formation of an airbag deployment opening in the trim piece. A cutting beam, such as a laser is directed at the trim piece surface to be scored and a sensor emits a sensing beam, and a beam combining device receives both the sensor beam and the laser beam and causes downstream beam segments to be collinear with each other as they impinge the trim piece surface. The estimated Green's functions are the used to determine simulated internal multiple reflections (104). The measured data may be corrected by subtracting the simulated internal multiple reflections, or the Green's function may be used to do local imaging or local velocity model building, particularly advantageous in full wavefield inversion (104).

According one embodiment, an apparatus and method are disclosed for a dynamic phase aligning input interface. In the embodiment, a first device provides data to a second device. According to the embodiment, the interface is counter clocked, the second device being clocked by a first clock signal and providing a second clock signal source to the first device for clocking the data. The first device transmits the second clock signal and the data to the second device, with the second clock signal being delayed by the period of time required for the second clock signal source to propagate through the first device. The second device detects the phase of the first clock signal and the second clock signal and modifies the phase of the second clock signal source to align the phase of the first clock signal and the phase of the second clock signal.
