Evolving mobile unit for controlled product storage and dispensing

An evolving mobile Unit for controlled product storage and dispensing, with modular construction and multiple upgrade possibilities, to the capacity and storing / picking system that can evolve from manual, up to fully automatic operation. The Unit is easy to transport and maneuver, by crane or forklift, using the provided pick up points (6) and pockets (7), either in standard or heavy duty / all-weather form. The Unit can be autonomous, with an integrated power unit (49) and internal climate control (19). The products are stored inside, within Unit Loads (UL) (8) that can hold any kind of materials, either solid or liquid, at ambient or controlled temperature and humidity. The ULs are stored in a modular shelving system (9), adjustable to accommodate mixes of UL sizes. Access control is provided by lock (11), drawer (16) and software systems together with a picking / replenishment method. The software controls the ULs multiple locations (12), and manages the picking method, either in manual, manual assisted, Basic Semi-Automatic, Semi-automatic or Fully-automatic versions, using Cartesian coordinate robots (14) for storing / picking the desired products. These and other features, aspects, and advantages of the present invention will become clearer with the following description, appended claims, and accompanying drawings.

Magnetic resonance imaging apparatus and magnetic resonance imaging method

InactiveUS20050070784A1Improve accuracy reliabilityReliable temperature measurementDiagnostic recording/measuringSensorsNMR - Nuclear magnetic resonanceOrthogonal coordinates
A magnetic resonance imaging apparatus includes control means 107 and 108 for continuously performing magnetic resonance imaging of a cross section including a portion subjected to measurement of an examinee (101) at a predetermined time interval, operation means 108 for calculating diagnosis information related to the portion subjected to measurement by using a plurality of sets of nuclear magnetic resonance signals related to cross sections imaged at different time points by measuring nuclear magnetic resonance signals generated from the examinee 101, and a position detection device 118 having a detection camera 118b for detecting in non-contact manner the position (three-dimensional position and rotation angle around an orthogonal coordinate axis) of a pointer 118a provided outside the examines body and moving while interlocked with the biological movement of the examinee 101. The control means 108 sets the position of the cross section according to the position of the pointer 118a detected by the position detection device 118, thereby eliminating an affect of the biological movement and improving the accuracy and the reliability of the diagnosis information including differential processing of a portion subjected to measurement.

Connection System for a Respiratory Humidifier

A connecting system for connecting a ventilation tube to a respiratory humidifier (1) is provided, wherein the ventilation tube comprises an electrical line and the respiratory humidifier (1) comprises a housing (2) and a liquid container (4), the connection system including a first connection element (6) arranged on the liquid container (4); a first electrical contact element (24) arranged on the housing (2); and a second connection element (14), which can be connected to the ventilation tube (7, 9) and comprises a second electrical contact element (16), which can be connected to the electrical line of the ventilation tube (7, 9); wherein the first connection element (6) and the second connection element (14) can be connected to each other in a first connecting direction in such a way that, by establishment of the pneumatic connection of the ventilation tube (7, 9) to the liquid container (4), the electrical connection of the first contact element (24) to the second contact element (16) is produced. The electrical connection of the first contact element (24) to the second contact element (16) can be established in a second connecting direction different from the first connecting direction, preferably in a direction essentially perpendicular to the first connecting direction.
