The invention discloses a
protection system and method for a
robot falling to ground. The
system comprises a balance sensing module, a bump detection module and a central
processing module, wherein the balance sensing module is used for detecting the current balance
signal of the
robot when the
robot inclines, the bump detection module is used for detecting the strength
signal of robot bump when the robot is bumped, the central
processing module is used for receiving the strength
signal of robot bump and the current balance signal of the robot and performing comparison and judgement, when thecurrent balance signal of the robot received by the central
processing module is higher than a preset balance threshold value, whether the strength signal of robot bump received by the central processing module is higher than a preset bump strength threshold value or not is judged, if the strength signal of robot bump received by the central processing module is higher than the preset bump strength threshold value, then the central processing module outputs the power off
control signal. By means of the
protection system and method for the robot falling to ground, when the robot is bumped acutely or falls to ground, self-judging power off protection can be performed, the problems of jamming of joints and other parts, internal
control system disorder and the like are avoided, and the self-protection performance is high.
