Disclosed is a bone fracture fixation system, such as for reducing and compressing fractures in the proximal femur. The fixation system includes a plurality of elongated bodies with a helical cancellous bone anchor on a distal end of each of the bodies. An axially moveable plate with a plurality of openings is carried by the proximal end of the elongated bodies. The elongated bodies are rotated into position across the fracture or separation between adjacent bones and into the adjacent bone or bone fragment, and the plate is distally advanced to apply secondary compression and lock the device into place. The device may also be used for soft tissue attachments.

Disclosed is a bone fixation device of the type useful for connecting two or more bones or bone fragments together or connecting soft tissue or tendon to bone. The repositioning and fixation system according to the invention comprises at least two bone plates that are designed to be interconnected. Each bone plate is provided with a connector element for connection to another bone plate. The connector element of a first bone plate comprises a plurality of projections. The connector element of a second bone plate comprises an opening. In a first connection state, the projections engage in the opening and produce a hinge-type connection between the first bone plate and the second bone plate. In a second connection state, the projections are tensioned and produce a rigid connection between the first bone plate and the second bone plate. A method and apparatus of reattaching a bone fragment to a proximal humerus of a humerus in a shoulder joint. The method includes introducing a distal end of the humeral nail into a medullary canal of the humerus. A first proximal screw is engaged with the bone fragment and a first proximal bore in the proximal end of the humeral nail to move the bone fragment toward the proximal humerus. The humeral nail and the attached bone fragment are rotated relative to the medullary canal of the humerus to position the bone fragment to an anatomically optimal location. The bone fragment is preferably one of a greater or lesser tuberosity of the proximal humerus. The method and apparatus can be used to reattach bone fragments in a variety of other joints.

The invention relates to a clip-like implant for osteosynthesis of at least two repositioned bone fragments, with at least two retainer web sections and with one connection web section connecting the retainer web sections, wherein the free ends of the at least two retainer web sections can be at least partially fixed in a respective one of the two repositioned bone fragments. The present invention relates to a method for fixing an intramedullary cavity nail for the treatment of unstable trochanteric fractures and to a targeting device for use in performing the steps of said method. A bone bolt assembly is designed for attaching supporting implants between adjacent bones, for holding adjacent bones relative to each other, and for holding together fractured bone fragments.
