The invention discloses a method for transplanting big zelkova schneideriana seedlings in coastal areas. The method comprises the following steps of a, selecting the big zelkova schneideriana seedlings with the diameter at breast height of 12-15 cm, lifting the seedlings, enabling the diameter of soil balls to be 5-7 times the diameter at breast height, trimming rotten roots and withered roots, wrapping the soil balls with wet straw ropes after trimming, uniformly spraying a rooting agent on the surfaces of the soil balls, and spraying 50-80 ml of the rooting agent on each seedling to promotethe growth of new roots; b, trimming crowns of zelkova schneideriana, specifically, during trimming, 1/3-1/2 of the crowns together with branches and leaves is cut off, and trunks are wound and wrapped with the wetted straw ropes to the tops; c, transplanting the zelkova schneideriana into new planting holes, wherein the diameter of each planting hole is 1.5-2 times that of the soil balls, pine sawdust needs to be applied to the bottom of each hole, the planting soil is filled to 1/3 of the depth of each hole, binding materials of the zelkova schneideriana seedlings are removed, soil is filledand compacted, and the soil continues to be filled to the top of each hole; d, immediately irrigating the zelkova schneideriana seedlings after the zelkova schneideriana seedlings are planted, wherein vertical frame supporting is conducted after the seedlings are planted; and e, from May to August, spraying a bactericide every half a month. The method is simple to operate, low in cost and worthyof popularization.
