Multi-core geometry processing in a tile based rendering system

A method and an apparatus are provided for combining multiple independent tile based graphic cores. An incoming geometry stream is split into a plurality of streams and sent to respective tile based graphics processing cores. Each one generates a separate tiled geometry lists. These may be combined into a master tiling unit or, alternatively, markers may be inserted into the tiled geometry lists which are used in the rasterization phase to switch between tiling lists from different geometry processing cores.

Embodiments of the present invention may be used in the generation of an overall weight from the comparison of various attributes of data records, where the linking of the data records is dependent on the overall weight. More specifically, embodiments of the present invention may calculate a false positive penalty based on a set of results, each of the set of results based on a comparison of an attribute. The false positive penalty may be subtracted from the overall weight generated from the comparison of the attributes of data records to adjust the overall weight. By configuring which attributes of the data records are used as the set of attributes for generating the false positive penalty, and the penalties associated with a particular combination of results for the comparisons of these attributes, the incidence of false positives in the linking of data records may be significantly reduced.

A first subset of the code blocks of a group are transmitted (e.g., modulated and demodulated) in accordance with a first TFP value, and a remainder of the code blocks are transmitted in accordance with a second TFP value. Because the first and second TFP values are independent, it is possible either to shorten the necessary processing time in the first communication node or, in connection with a predictive acknowledgment mechanism, to make the receiving-side processing of code blocks that do not contribute to the value of the transmitted acknowledgment more robust.

A method of producing methyl methacrylate comprises Step 1 of producing acetone cyanhydrin from hydrogen cyanide and acetone; Step 2 of producing alpha -hydroxyisobutyramide by hydrating acetone cyanhydrin; Step 3 of producing methyl alpha -hydroxyisobutyrate and ammonia by a reaction of alpha -hydroxyisobutyramide and methanol; Step 4 of producing methyl methacrylate by dehydrating methyl alpha -hydroxyisobutyrate; and Step 5 of producing hydrogen cyanide in vapor phase by reacting methanol and the ammonia obtained in Step 3 over a solid catalyst in the presence of molecular oxygen. By using methanol in the step 3, the conversion ratio of alpha -hydroxyisobutyramide into methyl alpha -hydroxyisobutyrate can be increased because the equilibrium of the reaction is easily sifted toward the product side by removing ammonia being produced from the reaction system. The use of methanol in the step 3 produces additional advantages of efficiently linking the steps to eliminate the steps for separation and purification, thereby reducing the production cost.
