A method and apparatus is disclosed which provides improved security in distributed-environment voting. At least three voting processors running a voting algorithm are connected to a local area network (LAN) and exchange their individually determined results of a process application. Each result is committed to an interface module where it is checked, authenticated and buffered. The allotted time for receiving and buffering committed results is constrained by a first timed interval within the interface module. The first timed interval may be reset several times. The allotted time for checking and comparing the committed results from each processor is constrained by a second timed interval within each voting processor. A majority vote of those authenticated committed results is formed once all necessary iterations of the both the first and second timed intervals are completed. Enhanced security is thereby afforded to the overall voting process and yields a majority vote that is correct despite the introduction of errors associated with faulty or hostile processors.

The system may further include a general purpose computer coupled to the interface and configured to receive the fingerprint template. The general purpose computer can then use the fingerprint template to verify the identity of the user.

The external sunshade roller shutter system comprises a shutter box and two guide rails; the shutter box comprises a top plate, a bottom plate, an outer plate, an inner overhaul plate and two end seats; the outer edge of the top plate and the upper edge of the outer plate are in mutual inserting connection with convex wedges through wedge grooves; the two end seats are bilaterally symmetrically arranged and are in threaded connection with the ends of the top plate, the outer plate and the bottom plate; a gap allowing a shutter to pass through is reserved between the outer plate and the bottom plate; the inner overhaul plate is detachably embedded in an indoor overhaul hole opening which is formed by enclosing of the top plate, the bottom plate and the two end seats through a boss on the inner side of the inner overhaul plate; the shutter box is mounted above a window frame; the two guide rails are symmetrically mounted on the two sides of the window frame, and the upper ends of the two guide rails are connected with the shutter box; the shutter box is internally provided with the shutter wound on a driving device; and the lower end of the shutter can penetrate through the gap and slidably rise and fall along the guide rails.
