The problems that an existing two-color medium infrared image infusion method cannot adapt to requirements of exploring dynamic changes and cannot directly be achieved in a two-color medium wave imager due to adoption of a single fusion rule are solved. An infrared medium wave is divided into two wave bands including one of 3.4-4.1 micrometers and the other of 4.5-5.3 micrometers, and then the following steps are conducted: carrying out support transformation on two subdivision wave band images respectively, obtaining a low-frequency image and a support sequence image, combining a low-frequency image at the last layer through the single rule, fusing the combined image through a fuzzy subordinate function, combining the support sequence image through the single rule firstly, and then combining the combined image through the fuzzy subordinate function again, and fusing the combined low-frequency image and the combined support image through a support transformation method. The two-color medium wave infrared image transform domain multi-rule fusion method is achieved on a field programmable gate array (FPGA) and a chip of a digital signal processor (DSP) or a single FPGA chip, and chips can be easily embedded into the two-color medium wave imager.
