The method for detecting the GABA content in the food is quick and effective, and has a linearity range of 0.5-1000 mg/L, a recovery rate more than 88.2%, a relatibe standard deviation (RSD) less than 5%. In addition, with the present invention, a reliable and convenient method is provided for detecting the GABA content in the food,; requirements of researches and productions are met.
