7 results about "Degraded mode" patented technology

When a RAID array experiences the failure of one or more disks, it can enter degraded mode, a fallback mode that generally allows the continued usage of the array, but either loses the performance boosts of the RAID technique (such as a RAID-1 mirror across two disks when one of them fails; performance will fall back to that of a normal, single drive) or experiences severe performance penalties due to the necessity to reconstruct the damaged data from error correction data.

A large file export optimization method and system based on real-time memory monitoring

The application relates to the technical field of data processing, and discloses a large file export optimization method and system based on real-time memory monitoring. The method comprises the following steps: monitoring a memory state in real time and calculating a memory growth rate; taking the growth rate as an independent risk dimension, and giving a warning when the rate exceeds a threshold value and the memory usage rate does not reach a threshold value; performing adjustment in response to the warning, including dynamically updating the throughput control of the data shard size, and triggering the degradation mode to reduce the export field to the data precision control of the core field; and attaching an instruction page to the export file during degradation. Through trend prediction and dynamic control, the application reduces the risk of memory overflow and guarantees core data export.

Method and apparatus for writing data to disk array in storage system

The embodiment of the invention relates to a method, equipment and a computer program product for writing data into a disk array in a storage system. The storage system includes a disk array. A method includes, in response to receiving a write request to write new data to a data block in at least one disk array group in a degraded mode of a disk array, reading old data stored in the data block and old check information stored in a check block associated with the data block. The method further includes determining new check information associated with the new data based on the old data, the old check information, and the new data. The method further includes writing the new data and the new check information into at least one cache page provided by a cache component in the storage system, the at least one cache page being allocated in a persistent memory in the cache component. In addition, the method further comprises the step of flushing new data and new verification information into the data blocks and the verification blocks in the at least one disk array group respectively.

Storage device management method based on failure prediction and automatic recovery

PendingHK20134900AData segmentDegraded mode
This invention discloses a solid-state drive (SSD) management method based on fault prediction and automatic recovery. It dynamically calculates the health score of each storage module and automatically switches modules between normal mode, degraded mode, and isolation mode based on the score. When a module enters degraded mode, the controller divides the data into multiple independently movable data segments, which are then migrated sequentially to healthy modules according to risk priority. The local logical mapping table is updated immediately after each segment migration. During the migration process, the controller continuously evaluates the health score. If the score rises to a preset threshold, the remaining data segment migration and new data write rates are adjusted until the module recovers to normal mode. If the health score remains below the threshold, the module is permanently switched to isolation mode, writes are prohibited, and the data is logically mapped to other healthy modules. This method enables proactive protection and automatic recovery of SSD data security, improving the reliability and lifespan of the storage system.

Method and apparatus for local dynamic reconstruction of cross-grain raid stripe based on logical-physical mapping bitmap index

PendingCN122633116AWrite amplificationRAID
The application discloses a cross-grain RAID strip local dynamic reconstruction method and device based on a logical-physical mapping bitmap index, comprising the following steps: first, a logical-physical mapping bitmap index for marking the validity of each sector data in a RAID strip is maintained in a flash translation layer (FTL) of a solid state disk; when a target grain failure is detected, the bitmap index is called by the system for analysis; then, according to the marking of the bitmap index, the effective data area on other healthy grains in the corresponding strip is accurately scheduled to perform local reading and XOR calculation, and all invalid data areas are actively skipped to reconstruct the effective data in the failed grain; finally, the recovered discrete effective data is dynamically aggregated into a new complete strip and then written into a standby physical space. Through the application, internal read amplification and write amplification in the reconstruction process can be significantly reduced, the failure recovery time is shortened, and the performance stability of the SSD in the degradation mode is ensured.

Method for outputting control instruction of flight control computer

The invention relates to a method for outputting a flight control computer control instruction, the method is executed by a degradation mode link of a computer for the first time, and the method comprises the following steps: calculating a degradation mode control instruction; receiving a control instruction from a main computer from a second secondary computer, wherein the control instruction is an instruction which is transmitted from the main computer to the second secondary computer and aims at the first secondary computer; and outputting the control instruction as a degraded mode link instruction if the control instruction from the host computer is valid, otherwise outputting the degraded mode control instruction as the degraded mode link instruction.

Fault tolerant interconnect link

The technology is generally directed to the continued use of a link between nodes of a network in which at least one of the lanes in the link has failed. Rather than identify the link as a failure in response to a lane failure, the traffic may be redistributed amongst the remaining lanes in the link. The redistribution of traffic may result in the link operating in a degraded mode. To mitigate the reduced traffic capacity of the degraded mode, the remaining links may be overclocked, such that the bandwidth of each link is increased to return the link to a traffic capacity corresponding to the initial capacity. In some examples, the traffic may be diverted to a redundant, otherwise inactive lane, thereby allowing for the traffic to be transmitted and received via the link, without any degradation in the performance of the link.
