11 results about "Seashell" patented technology

A seashell or sea shell, also known simply as a shell, is a hard, protective outer layer created by an animal that lives in the sea. The shell is part of the body of the animal. Empty seashells are often found washed up on beaches by beachcombers. The shells are empty because the animal has died and the soft parts have been eaten by another animal or have decomposed.

Novel hybrid sorbent-catalyst composition and method of making thereof for blue hydrogen production

PCT designated stageWO2026139975A1Ptru catalystPhysical chemistry
The present invention relates to a process for preparation of dual functional materials (DFMs) that exhibit both catalytic activity and CO2 sorption capacity, specifically designed for blue H2 production via sorption-enhanced steam methane reforming. Process for preparation of dual functional materials (DFMs) consisting the CO2 sorbent, calcium oxide (CaO) derived from biowaste resources, including snail shells, seashells, or eggshells, while nickel (Ni), derived from nickel nitrate hexahydrate, serves as the catalyst. The dual functional materials (DFMs) are prepared by combining the catalyst and sorbent through various methods, including wet mixing (WM), wet impregnation (WI), and the sol-gel (SG) method. Comparative studies demonstrated that the combined sorbent-catalyst composition (CSCC) synthesized through WI exhibits superior performance in terms of both CH4 conversion and H2 purity compared to those derived through WM and SG methods.

Sustainable upcycling topological artificial reef restoration method

PendingUS20260184010A1UpcyclingMarine habitats
comprises the following steps: S1. Pretreatment of seashells: Collect, sterilize and crush seashells to reach 2,500 meshes. S2. Preparation of 3D printing materials: Mix polyhydroxyalkanoate and additives with the calcium carbonate powder obtained in S1, and prepare 3D printing wires using an extruding machine. S3. Preparation of 3D printed artificial reef: Use the 3D printing wires to print artificial reef modules with a topological shape. S4. Installation of artificial reefs: Fix and connect the printed artificial reef modules to each other, and fix them according to different occasions, for example, fix in form of floating reefs or on benthal terrain. The invention enables efficient, environmentally friendly and customizable restoration of marine habitats. The method offers advantages such as material sustainability, topologically optimized structures that enhance water flow through artificial reefs, flexible installation, substantial ecological benefits, and lightweight artificial reefs that facilitate transportation.

Bionic intelligent bucket for deep sea excavation

A bionic bucket body is of a shell-imitated streamline double-layer hollow titanium alloy structure, a three-dimensional driving rod capable of being folded and twisted according to the paper folding principle is carried, the surface of the bionic bucket body is coated with a seawater corrosion resistant coating, and a telescopic water-resisting layer is arranged in the bionic bucket body to achieve sample pressure maintaining; the bionic self-locking ground breaking structure is composed of piranha tooth shape-imitated tungsten cobalt alloy ground breaking teeth, tooth blades are provided with bionic anti-drag lines and can be quickly disassembled and assembled through replaceable clamping grooves, and the integrity of the blade edges is strengthened by the inter-tooth self-locking structure; the mechanical metamaterial sensing system is embedded into a negative Poisson's ratio piezoelectric metamaterial sensor array, so that multi-dimensional mechanical load, static and dynamic pressure and spatial attitude can be monitored in real time, and accurate feedback is provided for excavation adjustment. Bionic design and an intelligent sensing technology are fused, the adaptability, excavation efficiency and sample collection quality of the deep-sea high-pressure strong-corrosion environment are improved, maintenance is convenient, and the problems that traditional equipment is large in cut-in resistance, lack of state sensing, poor in adaptability and the like are solved.

Slag-based low-carbon ecological concrete with shells replacing coarse and fine aggregates

The invention discloses slag-based low-carbon ecological concrete with shells replacing coarse and fine aggregates, which is characterized in that waste shells are graded by 100% to replace natural gravel coarse and fine aggregates, and are matched with a slag-cement-gypsum ternary low-carbon gel system; the core ratio of concrete per cubic meter of 1 m < 3 > is defined as follows: 275-295 kg of slag, 42-58 kg of cement, 62-78 kg of gypsum, 2080-2160 kg of waste shells and 1.1-1.9 kg of a polycarboxylate superplasticizer, the water-cement ratio is 0.45-0.50, and the mortar-sand ratio is 1: 2. During preparation, a process of dense accumulation of coarse aggregate and pouring of gelled slurry is adopted, the highest compressive strength of the cured concrete within 28d reaches 45.7 MPa, the lowest chloride ion permeation resistance electric flux is 746.38 C, and the alkalinity is controlled between 9.42 and 11.68. Compared with the prior art, 2080-2160 kg of waste shells and 97.125 kg of fixed carbon can be consumed by 1 m < 3 > of concrete, carbon emission is reduced by 35% or above, the total cost is about 270 yuan, the technical breakthrough of waste recycling, low-carbon emission reduction and multi-performance cooperation is achieved, and the concrete is suitable for ecological engineering such as artificial fish reefs and marine ranches.
