According to the invention, a vertical support bar is fixedly arranged on a base and is fixedly provided with a horizontal cross bar; a guide bar is arranged between the cross bar and the base and located at the inner side of the support bar; the guide bar is slidably connected with a pressing plate; the pressing plate is rotatably connected with a screw capable of driving the pressing plate to move up and down; a nut in threaded cooperation with the screw is fixedly arranged on the cross bar; the upper end part of the screw is fixedly provided with a handwheel; floating jaws are arranged below the pressing plate; and fixed jaws are arranged on the base and below the floating jaws. The screw is allowed to move up and down through rotation of the screw under driving of the handwheel. The pressing plate located below and rotatably connected with the screw is placed at an appropriate height and then the fixed jaws and the floating jaws are operated to fix the upper end and lower end of a valve spring respectively, so the valve spring is fixed. The handwheel is rotated to allow the pressing plate to slide up and down along the guide bar. Since the valve spring is fixed on the pressing plate, the purpose of testing is achieved by compressing the valve spring via the pressing plate.
