The method is characterized by comprising the steps that a local image is acquired at a live broadcast client so as to acquire an original image, and the original image is pushed to a streaming server; the streaming server sends the original image to a transcoding server; the transcoding server carries out transcoding on the basis of the original image so as to acquire a high-definition image and a standard-definition image, and the transcoding server sends the high-definition image and the standard-definition image back to the streaming server; when a user watches live broadcast at a front end, the front end acquires the resolution of watch equipment of the audience, the type of images to be requested is judged according to the resolution of the watch equipment, a request for the corresponding images is sent to the streaming server according to a judgment result; the streaming server returns a media stream of the corresponding type of images according to the received request, and the front end decrypts the media stream according to a prescribed encryption manner and decodes the media stream into an image so as to be shown to the user.
