algorithm, and extracting motion foreground from videos; (2) reducing error interference in the motion foreground by adopting an image preprocessing mechanism; (3) drawing virtual coils according to lanes; (4) carrying out detection, counting and sum statistics on vehicles passing through the virtual coils, and solving the problems of the misjudgment, repeat counting and counting missing of the vehicles; and (5) integrating the results, obtained in the step (1) and the step (2), and an analytical result on the result obtained in the step (4) to extended application.
