The invention discloses an evaluation method of safety level in a plane intersection under urban traffic environment. The evaluation method comprises the following steps of establishing a PARAMICS microscopic simulation model of the plane intersection under the urban traffic environment through field data collection and by applying microscopic simulation software PARAMICS, carrying out parameter calibration on the simulation model, changing a simulation random seed, carrying out simulation for multiple times, outputting a simulation vehicle track document, analyzing the simulation vehicle track document by applying conflict analysis software SSAM, outputting various simulation conflict numbers such as tailgating conflict, track changing conflict and intersection conflict, and thus carrying out safety evaluation of the plane intersection under the urban traffic environment. According to the evaluation method disclosed by the invention, the defects that in a past traffic conflict evaluation method, the stability is bad, the influence on the safety evaluation due to subjective judgement of a collection person is larger, and the comparability is in lack are overcome, and the evaluation method has an actual engineering applying value in respect of carrying out the safety evaluation of the plane interaction under the urban traffic environment.
