A method, system, and computer program for dynamically adjusting the workload of an active resource associated with at least one parent workload group. The parent workload group includes a collection of workload units, with each associated to a key identifier such that workload units belonging to the parent workload group share an identical sequence of values at a specified depth value of the key identifier. The active resource independently determines whether an overload condition exists. If an overload condition exists, the depth value of the parent workload group is increased. The active resource may also consolidate a workload group if an under-load condition exists. Dynamically adjusting the workload of an active resource can be used as part of a method or system to dynamically adjust the workload of a distributed computing application across a dynamically varying set of active resources, and subsequently redirecting entities to the dynamically changing target resource.

The system also includes a controller to ensure that the second signal-responsive switch is in an OPEN state after the sensor senses that the first electrical signal exceeds a first threshold value, and that the first signal-responsive switch is in a CLOSED state after the first electrical signal exceeds a second threshold value.

An idling stop control of the invention attains an auto start and an auto stop of an engine. At a time point t1, pre-set stop conditions are met to cut off a fuel supply to the engine. Preset starting conditions may be met at a time point t2 when the engine still continues rotating in a normal direction by the inertial force. In this state, the idling stop control starts cranking the engine. The preset starting conditions may be met at a time point t4 when a piston does not complete a compression cycle immediately before a stop of the engine but is pressed back by the compressed air to rotate the engine in a reverse direction. In this state, the idling stop control waits until cancellation of the reverse rotation of the engine and then starts cranking the engine. The arrangement of the invention desirably ensures a quick start of the engine, while effectively preventing an excess stress from acting on a gear mechanism, which connects a starter motor to the engine.

A process for producing a methane-rich gas comprising the steps of:

• • a) mixing a feed gas, comprising carbon monoxide and hydrogen, and a recycled methane-rich gas, comprising methane, to produce a gas mixture, comprising carbon monoxide, hydrogen and methane;
  • b) reacting at least part of the carbon monoxide and hydrogen in the gas mixture in the presence of a methanation catalyst to produce a methane-rich product gas comprising methane, carbon dioxide and water;
  • c) treating at least part of the methane-rich product gas to remove carbon dioxide to produce a methane-rich carbon dioxide-lean gas; and
  • d) recycling at least part of the methane-rich carbon dioxide-lean gas to mixing step a) as recycled methane-rich gas.
