A composite wall panel having continuous upper and lower hollow horizontal chases and spaced hollow vertical chases formed throughout the panel to permit passage of electrical wiring and the like. The chases have protective barriers to protect the wiring from penetration and damage due to mechanical fasteners used to manufacture the panel and to construct load bearing walls using a plurality of manufactured panels. Further, the panel has a continuous header to provide structural rigidity and to permit rapid manufacturing of the panel without the need to frame openings, such as doors and windows, at the time of manufacture. Openings are cut in the panels and finished after the walls are constructed.

A container (1) for dispensing a pressurised product and a method for manufacturing the container. The container (1) includes a body (2), a collar (3) and a dispensing valve (4). The body (2) is moulded from PET or like plastics, and has a shaped neck (7) surrounding an opening. A display device system comprising a display screen, adapted to display digital content, a structural assembly, secured to the rear face of the display screen, configured to mount the display screen on a vertical surface, and a case for the display screen comprising a main body, one or more handles connected to the main body, and a locking mechanism, configured to releasably secure to the display screen. The main body is configured to couple and decouple from the display screen to provide structural rigidity during transportation, and is configured to surround at least the perimeter of the display screen. The rear side of said structural assembly comprises a recessed mounting mechanism configured to mate with a mounting device on a vertical surface, and the handles of the case are configured to position the display screen on the mounting device and be decoupled from the display screen thereafter.

A concrete exclusion structure is formed by a housing having a shell, end walls, and one or more score lines of reduced wall thickness. The housing defines an interior void that is dimensioned to enclose a coupler assembly. Knockouts in the end walls or knockout cones allow passage of tubes associated with the coupler assembly. The exclusion structure prevents uncured concrete from contacting the coupler assembly. The structure can fracture after the concrete has cured thereby allowing portions of the coupler assembly to move relative to each other. Such fracture is typically about one of the score lines.

A power overlay (POL) packaging structure that incorporates a leadframe connection is disclosed. The a POL structure includes a POL sub-module having a dielectric layer, at least one semiconductor device attached to the dielectric layer and that includes a substrate composed of a semiconductor material and a plurality of connection pads formed on the substrate, and a metal interconnect structure electrically coupled to the plurality of connection pads of the at least one semiconductor device, with the metal interconnect structure extending through vias formed through the dielectric layer so as to be connected to the plurality of connection pads. The POL structure also includes a leadframe electrically coupled to the POL sub-module, with the leadframe comprising leads configured to make an interconnection to an external circuit structure.

Disclosed is a multi-layered metal panel with a fire retardant inner core disposed between two wire mesh layers. The fire retardant inner core is a substrate coated with a fire retardant material. The wire mesh layers on top and bottom of the inner core affix the fire retardant inner core in between. A wire frame surrounds the peripheral edge of the wire mesh layers to provide structural rigidity to the panel. A protective sheet surrounds the entire panel to protect it from rain and wind.

Actuators utilising shape memory alloy materials are known with regard to gas turbine engines. Such shape memory alloys have been used with respect to deformation provided in vanes and blades as well as nozzle elements in order that variations can be made in engine configuration dependent upon thermal cycling. Unfortunately, pedestals in order to provide spacing between the shape memory alloy and an antagonistic bias has resulted in uneven stress distribution as well as a higher thermal mass for the shape memory alloy. An uneven stress distribution will limit operational life whilst a higher thermal mass will result in slower reaction times. By separation of the shape memory alloy or material from its antagonistic bias through use of a slide element, a reduction in thermal mass is achieved and, more importantly, stress differentiation across the actuator is reduced.

An improved bale strapping band and system and method for utilizing the same. The bale strapping band includes one or more folded paper strips, with multiple folds and plies resting on one another, normally glued or bonded together and treated on either or both of its external surfaces with water soluble adhesive, for use primarily in wood pulp bale strapping applications. The bale strapping band includes one or more mutually aligned and bonded paper strips having multiple longitudinal plies including a first external ply and an opposing second external ply, and at least one internal ply disposed between the first and second external plies. An external adhesive layer is disposed on the outer surface of the external plies to provide structural rigidity and abrasion resistance to the band, as well as to provide adhesive to join ends of the band together.

A chemical sample gas tube that is capable of being rapidly heated and cooled allows rapid purging of condensed chemical vapor from its inside surface. A method of making a light weight component is provided. The method including the steps of: forming a metallic foam core into a desired configuration; inserting a pre-machined component into an opening in the metallic foam core; applying an external metallic shell to an exterior surface of the metallic foam core after it has been formed into the desired configuration and after the pre-machined component has been inserted into the metallic foam core; introducing an acid into an internal cavity defined by the external metallic shell; dissolving the metallic foam core; and removing the dissolved metallic foam core from the internal cavity, wherein the component and the external metallic shell are resistant to the acid.

Longitudinally extending nozzles are formed along a leading edge of the scraper blade of snow removal equipment to direct planar jets of air at a road surface to lift snow and ice from the surface of a roadway. A plate, in which pockets have been machined, is mounted on the ground engagement tool of the scraper blade to create the nozzles.
