However, obstacles in the soil, such as stones, particularly those larger than 8 cm in diameter, pose a challenge when laying subsurface drip lines. These obstacles also present a general obstacle to agricultural production. The present invention utilizes a device according to the invention for locating foreign bodies in the ground. This device determines the positions of foreign bodies, among other things, by detecting overload-induced evasive movements of ground-moving tools and assigning these movements to position signals.
