A system and method for supporting Product Lifecycle Management over a distributed service network topology that connects a hierarchy of functional domains, each domain having a service ontology and one or more service composition schemas defined by the service ontology. Each service composition schema models a business process in its domain. Descriptions of services provided to each domain are published to a service repository by providers of the services, in conformity with one of the service composition schemas. There is a business process proxy provided by the service provider for each service description, which encapsulates for public access the internal processes of the service provider. The invention makes use of an event messaging protocol that enables service collaboration and ad-hoc workflow composition. Each business process is implemented by an ad-hoc workflow comprised of one or more tasks connected by one or more business rules. For each business process there is a business flow manager that dynamically composes ad-hoc workflow prior to execution and dynamically modifies the ad-hoc workflow as the business process executes. The business flow manager uses backward-chain inferencing and then forward-chain inferencing to generate the ad-hoc workflows, based on user identification of a target task. The business flow manager is able to stop execution of the workflow and regenerate a workflow for remaining tasks in response to events received over the network from service providers, and is also able to detect conflicts in the workflows at composition time and at execution time.

The present invention includes a method and system for scheduling the egress of processed information units (or frames) from a network processing unit according to service based on a weighted fair queue where position in the queue is adjusted after each service based on a weight factor and the length of frame, a process which provides a method for and system of interaction between different calendar types is used to provide minimum bandwidth, best effort bandwidth, weighted fair queuing service, best effort peak bandwidth, and maximum burst size specifications. The present invention permits different combinations of service that can be used to create different QoS specifications. The "base" services which are offered to a customer in the example described in this patent application are minimum bandwidth, best effort, peak and maximum burst size (or MBS), which may be combined as desired. For example, a user could specify minimum bandwidth plus best effort additional bandwidth and the system would provide this capability by putting the flow queue in both the NLS and WFQ calendar. The system includes tests when a flow queue is in multiple calendars to determine when it must come out.

The invention discloses a multithreading-based parallel executing method for a long transaction, which comprises the following steps: (1) formally describing the long transaction as an expanding directed graph; (2) cutting LT (Language Transaction) into a plurality of sub-transactions LT capable of being executed in a parallel form and giving a cutting algorithm; (3) deriving a plurality of sub-threads on the basis of POSIX (Portable Operating System Interface of Unix) threading library (or Windows threading API (Application Program Interface)), so as to execute the long transaction in a parallel embedding mode; and (4) running paralleled codes on a multi-core processor (or a multi-CPU (Central Processing Unit) processor). According to the multithreading-based parallel executing method for the long transaction, the executing time for the long transaction is obviously shortened, the executing efficiency for the long transaction is increased, and the method can be applied to the fields, such as SOA (Service Oriented Architecture), service combination, transaction treatment, and the like.

The invention discloses a hierarchic scheduling method for service and resources in a cloud computation environment, which comprises the stages of submitting a user request, partitioning task units, defining a computation model, defining a storage model, defining a service analysis process, a service scheduling process and a resource scheduling process, evaluating the scheduling and the like, specially comprises the steps: defining and applying a mathematic model of a service combination file into the cloud environment; firstly analyzing the service combination file so as to determine the service priority; and classifying tasks by utilizing a resource pool, executing service through operation characteristics by using a proper resource allocation method, wherein the scheduling method considers data locality and related service completion rate. Observing from simulation experiments, according to the hierarchic scheduling method, the resource utilization rate can be improved, and a higher service completion rate can be realized compared with the default FIFO (First-In First-Out) scheduling of Hadoop. According to the method provided by the invention, the requirements of users and service providers can be met through high-efficiency scheduling and the reallocation of priority.
