Tube couplings

A tube coupling to receive and hold a tube (T) includes a coupling body (10) having a throughway with an annular step (24) facing an open end (12). An annular seal (25) is located in the coupling body adjacent to the annular step. An end cap (13) engages the coupling body and is axially moveable. A collett (17) in the cap has legs (20) with outer surfaces that engage with a tapered surface (23) in the end cap to urge the legs inwardly to grip the tube. The seal (25) is compressed axially in response to the forward movement of the end cap (13) to cause the tube end to be pressed into sealing engagement with the seal end. A biasing member (28) provides a biasing force to urge the legs (20) axially onto the tapered surface (23) when the cap is in the retracted position.

Durable electrophotographic prints

UV-glossing for simplex and duplex prints, wherein an input member having thereon a pre-gloss toner image including UV-curable toner is moved, in non-slip association with a smooth UV-transparent web, jointly with the web through a plurality of process zones sequentially including a heating zone and an exposure zone, thereby producing an output member having a glossed, UV-cured, surface. In the heating zone, at least the outermost toner of the pre-gloss toner image is heated to a molten state in contact with the web. In the exposure zone, with the molten state being maintained, at least the outermost toner which contacts the web is cured by a flux of UV radiation transmitted through the web. In a preferred embodiment, the UV-curable toner is formed as an outer layer on the pre-gloss toner image.

Sticking device and sticking method

A sticking device is arranged to be provided with a suction device including a suction surface 25A to suck label L and a driving device rotating and moving the suction device. When the suction surface sucks the label, the right side region of the suction surface faces the upper surface side of the tip of the peel plate. From this state, the driving device rotates the suction device around a rotation axis, and shifts the rotation axis so that the suction surface and the peel plate move away from each other.

Digitally printed furniture and methods for manufacture thereof

Manufacturing methods for furniture having a durable laminated surface with a digitally printed graphic image of a design include the steps of creating a graphic image of a design, printing the graphic image with a printer onto printer paper laminated to an uncut or precut furniture substrate, coating the paper with a protective coating, and finishing the laminated furniture components for later assembly. Optionally, the graphic image is printed on paper, which is later adhered to uncut or precut furniture substrate. The finishing steps include cutting the laminated furniture substrate into furniture components, edge banding the edges of the laminated furniture components and preparing the furniture components with fastener housings for later assembly. Ready-to-assemble furniture is provided with at least one exterior laminated furniture surface having a high quality digitally printed image of graphic design such as wood grain, wood inlay or other custom design.

Scratch resistant gradient coating and coated articles

A gradient coating is comprised of a basecoat derived from a polysiloxane prepolymer obtained from a mixture of one to three alkoxysilane monomers and at least one diepoxide monomer, and a lubricious reactant. The basecoat is applied to a substrate and dried. The lubricious reactant is then applied and allowed to permeate into the basecoat. The basecoat and lubricious reactant are then co-cured, resulting in a gradient coating composition. In addition to providing enhanced scratch and mar resistance, the gradient coating composition is solvent resistant and provides a durable hydrophobic and oleophobic surface, which makes it useful as a corrosion protectant and as a release agent.
