The invention discloses a cloud
desktop video playing method based on a bottom
virtualization technology. The method comprises the following steps: 1) establishing a proxy channel between a
client and a
server; 2) by the
client, sending a video playing request to the proxy channel, and by the
server, receiving the request, starting video playing
software and opening a corresponding video file; 3) by the video playing
software, obtaining video file information and transmitting the video file information to the
client through the proxy channel; and 4) after the client obtains the video file information, starting local player
software to play the video
stream. According to the method, the video file is converted into the video
stream to be directly transmitted to the client to be decoded and rendered, so that the problem of resource waste caused by repeated coding and decoding is avoided, the CPU computing power of a cloud host at a
server is liberated, a decoding task is completed by a relatively idle client terminal, the video playing smoothness of a cloud desktop is improved, and computing power resources are reasonably distributed.
