Provided are a
system and method for self-service
payment for defaulting subscribers in the telecom 3G mobile network. The
system comprises existing devices in a telecom
core network packet domain, packet data serving nodes (PDSNs),
authentication,
authorization and accounting (AAA) servers, a
business operation support system, two new devices added for implementing the function of self-service
payment for the 3G mobile defaulting subscribers, an L2TP network
server and an
access control device. According to the
system and method, after phone outage happens to the mobile subscribers because of arrearage, the mobile subscribers can still have access to the
online business hall for self-service
payment but are not allowed to use data services. The payment mode breaks through traditional payment
modes, paperless operation is achieved, the system and method conform to consumption concepts of the
mass network era, 7*24h non-stop services are user-friendlier, the situation that phone outage happens to the subscribers because of arrearage, inconvenient use is caused and consequently various complaints are brought is avoided, and the satisfaction degree of the subscribers is greatly increased; meanwhile, business volume losses brought by phone outage caused by arrearage are eliminated for telecom.
