The method comprises the steps of 1, inputting a to-be-selected CAD drawing of similar graphics; 2, selecting a similar graphic A according to the input CAD drawing; 3, judging whether other graphics other than the similar graphic A, and non-contrast graphics exist in the input CAD drawing or not; on the condition that the above graphics still exist in the input CAD drawing, conducting the step 4; otherwise, conducting the step 8; 4, freely selecting one graphic B from the non-contrast graphics; 5, conducting the similarity test on the graphic B and the graphic A; 6, judging whether the graphic B and the graphic A pass the similarity test or not; if not, returning to the step 3; if yes, conducting the step 7; 7, selecting the graphic B; 8, ending the process. Compared with the prior art, whether two graphics are geometrically similar to each other or not can be automatically judged, so that the manual comparison and judgment is avoided. Meanwhile, all similar graphics can be quickly selected through one key, so that the CAD efficiency is greatly improved. Meanwhile, the function of distinguishing between rotation angles / not distinguishing between rotation angles can be selected, so that the selection flexibility of similar graphics is improved.
