Liquid crystal display device

A face plate on which a frame is formed for improved design aesthetics is bonded to a top surface of an upper polarizer of a liquid crystal display panel with a pressure-sensitive adhesive material. The frame on the face plate is formed from five layers of printing. The pressure-sensitive adhesive material has a three-layer structure having a first pressure-sensitive adhesive member, a base material, and a second pressure-sensitive adhesive member. The first pressure-sensitive adhesive member is formed thicker than the second pressure-sensitive adhesive member, and hence the pressure-sensitive adhesive material can maintain a necessary thickness above the frame formed on the face plate. The reliability of adhesion between the face plate and the liquid crystal display panel is thus improved.

Driver device for liquid crystal display, computer program and storage medium, and liquid crystal display

There is provided a motion-adaptive grayscale level converter section between a video signal source and a pixel array. The pixel array includes a liquid crystal cell of normally black and vertically aligned mode. The motion-adaptive grayscale level converter section determines based on information from a decoder section whether the pixels of an image represented by a video signal is in a moving image area. If a pixel is in a moving image area, the motion-adaptive grayscale level converter section changes the grayscale level data representing the grayscale level of the pixel so that there is no darker grayscale level than a predetermined first grayscale level. The resultant data is output as a video signal. Accordingly, we can provide a liquid crystal display capable of easing image quality degradation due to insufficient response when displaying a moving image while maintaining the contrast ratio achieved for a still image display.

Image forming apparatus

An image forming apparatus capable of reducing density variation that occurs in an output image when the rotational speed of a polygon mirror is changed. A light source emits a light beam for forming an electrostatic latent image on a photosensitive drum. The polygon mirror deflects the light beam such that the light beam moves on the photosensitive drum in a predetermined direction. A polygon mirror control circuit controls the polygon mirror such that when the toner image is to be formed at a first magnification, the rotational speed of the polygon mirror is made higher than when the toner image is to be formed at a second magnification that is larger than the first magnification. When the toner image is to be formed at the first magnification, the light beam becomes smaller in light amount than when the toner image is to be formed at the second magnification.
