In the manufacturing method of the self-aligning liquid crystal display panel, the passivation layer of a TFT substrate is provided as an organic insulating film and organic substances on the surface of the organic insulating film are destroyed by a special treatment method so as to generate -OH and -COOH by decomposition, which facilitates the formation of hydrogen bonds between auxiliary alignment agent and the organic insulating film and increases the anchoring ability of the auxiliary alignment agent on the organic insulating film and solves the problems of the alignment force difference and the bright and dark line displaying defects caused by the surface difference between a pixel electrode and the passivation layer, and achieve even alignment. In addition, the display panel and the manufacturing method thereof further have the advantages that alignment film materials are saved, the related processes of alignment films are eliminated, and further the production cost of the liquid crystal display panels is reduced. The self-aligning liquid crystal display panels are obtained by the above method, achieve the even alignment and have a better displaying quality and do not need arranging the alignment films, so the production cost is lower.
