In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may compute a dynamic energy reserve level for a radio of a plurality of radios associated with the UE, wherein the dynamic energy reserve level for the radio is based at least in part on: an actual past energy usage by the radio, a required energy for the radio to transmit control channel data and high-priority traffic data, and an energy efficiency of the radio.
