A cogeneration system is disclosed which includes a generator, a drive source for driving the generator, a waste heat supplying heat exchanger for enhancing the heating performance of a heat pump type air conditioner, an auxiliary heating heat exchanger using the waste heat of the drive source as a heat source for heating indoor air, and a regeneration heat supplying heat exchanger using the waste heat of the drive source as a heat source for regenerating a dehumidifier. The cogeneration system can use the waste heat of the drive source for diverse purposes in accordance with the indoor environment, and can have a maximal efficiency.

An air turbine power propulsion engine for use in powering a vehicle, i.e. automobile or plane, or an electrical generator. The engine is housed in a generally circular housing that features a tapered air intake end and a downstream exhaust end. The control unit varies at least one of the AC voltage and AC frequency applied to the air cleaning element by the AC high-voltage generator depending on a state of indoor air being cleaned using the air cleaning element. Therefore, it is possible to effectively generate negative ions while minimizing ozone generation to an acceptable level depending on a state of indoor air, thereby increasing air cleaning performance so as to sterilize and clean contaminants more efficiently.
