The application of a gas analyzer for gas mud logging is presented to measure gases in the return mud flow used in drilling processes. A supported membrane extraction probe from the analyzer is inserted into the mud flow. The probe extracts target gases from the mud through the membrane. Extracted gases are transported by an internal pump to an internal gas sensor unit. The infrared sensor unit is utilized to subject the gases to infrared emitted energy to excite the gasses at a molecular level for sensing and detection. The sensor then transfers sensed values electronically to a digital conditioning board. As the data is digitized in the conditioning board it is encoded with information to enable a means of correlating the derived sensor data. A serverless peer-to-peer (P2P) multi-party real-time audio communication system and method in which each of the peers takes a turn mixing and compressing the audio and redelivering the compressed audio. An input audio stream is divided or split into frames. At each frame, one peer node is selected to mix and redeliver the audio to the remainder of the peers in the network. The number of frames mixed and redelivered by a certain peer is proportional to its available resources (such as the upload bandwidth or computational power). The P2P audio communication system and method flexibly balances the load of the peers, such that peers having more resources are able to assist peers having fewer resources. This enables the P2P audio communication system and method to conduct a multi-party audio communication session without the need for powerful servers or peers.

A portable, potable-water generator for producing high-purity liquid water by condensation of water vapor from ambient air. The generator (125) employs an air filter (119) to remove particulates and aerosols from the incoming air. An enclosed heat absorber cools the filtered air to its dew point and collects droplets of condensate into a condensate collector (5). Before discharge, the collected dew is treated in a bacteriostat loop to destroy adventitious living organisms and to filter out undesirable and dangerous contaminants. A recirculation loop provides the ability to recirculate stored condensate, including during periods of inactivity. Further, quick disconnect fittings (55b) and variable length flexible tubing allows use of the invention to serve remote dispensers and / or appliances and allow use of municipal water treated through the apparatus in low condensate situations.

In video encoding it is common to encode the image data to remove redundancies in the information to be transmitted. While the pixel data is usually arranged in pixel blocks, the blocks can be arranged in one or more groups of N×M blocks called tiles. The tiles avoid the need to send header information on a tile-by-tile or block-by-block basis, and simplifies parallel processing of the tiles. Bits from respective tiles may then be reformatted to recreate bits according to a raster-scan direction. This enables the decoder to receive the bits in a regular raster-scan format, but also have the ability to decode the tiles once the bits are reformatted. By partitioning an image into tiles of size N×M, it is possible to further exploit the intra-frame correspondence of images in a vertical direction as well as horizontal direction since the tiles need not destroy as many dependencies between blocks in a tile as if the blocks where organized in slices or slice groups.
