The invention discloses a
system and method enabling an automobile to automatically pass through a narrow road at a
low speed. The
system comprises an
electronic control unit, a camera, an
ultrasonic sensor, a touch display module, an
electric power steering system, an electronic stabilizing
system, an engine managing system, an electronic gear shifting system and an electronic parking and
braking system, wherein the camera, the
ultrasonic sensor, the touch display module, the
electric power steering system, the electronic stabilizing system, the engine managing system, the electronic gear shifting system and the electronic parking and
braking system are connected with the
electronic control unit. The method comprises the following steps that after the
electronic control unit receives a system activating request, when the automobile meets activating conditions, the electronic
control unit plans a driving
route according to obstacle information around the automobile, and besides, determines a target gear, a target speed and a target rotating angle of a current driving automobile; and then the electronic
control unit interacts with the
electric power steering system, the electronic stabilizing system, the engine managing system, the electronic gear shifting system and the electronic parking and
braking system to keep the automobile automatically driving according to the planned driving
route in the target gear at the target speed and in the target rotating angle. According to the system and the method disclosed by the invention, the automobile can automatically, safely and conveniently pass through the narrow road, so that the occurrence of a colliding accident is avoided.
