Stackable bag roll dispensing system

A system for dispensing thermoplastic bags or the like from a roll of bags. The present system is configured for point of use dispensing to a customer, such as in the produce section of a grocery store or market. The preferred, exemplary embodiment of the present system teaches a bag dispensing rack configured to hold a single roll of produce bags, but which is configured to provide an interlocking system for stacking multiple racks of bags one upon the other, each rack holding a single roll of bags, which may be of different configurations or sizes. Each bag pack is dispensed from a roll which includes first and second retaining side walls, a base, and a front opening terminating in a dispensing tongue, which is configured to engage an open slit situated medially relative to a perforated dispenser line juxtaposed each bag forming the bag roll. Further contemplated is a unique roll supporting surface configuration wherein the roll is saddled, providing easy installation of the system within the rack, while facilitating braking of the bag roll during dispensing so as to prevent over spooling during the dispensing process.

SEMICONDUCTOR DEVICE COMPRISING eFUSES OF ENHANCED PROGRAMMING EFFICIENCY

In sophisticated integrated circuits, an electronic fuse may be formed such that an increased sensitivity to electromigration may be accomplished by including at least one region of increased current density. This may be accomplished by forming a corresponding fuse region as a non-linear configuration, wherein at corresponding connection portions of linear segments, the desired enhanced current crowding may occur during the application of the programming voltage. Hence, increased reliability and more space-efficient layout of the electronic fuses may be accomplished.

Tab-free thermoplastic T-Shirt bag system

A bag and system for dispensing thermoplastic bags or the like from a stack of bags. The preferred, exemplary embodiment of the present system teaches a configuration which minimizes the probability of stress fractures in the dispensed bag, and tearing associated therewith, while providing a system which leaves no "throw away" product on the rack after dispensing a bag stack, as the present system has no central tear-off tab, thereby providing a more environmentally attractive alternative to other, prior art systems. Further, the bag of the present invention also contemplates a non-removable central mouth support raised area, wherein there is provided a support cut configured to accept a rack central support piece, the cut configured to provide maximum ease in separation of the dispensed bag from the pack, with clean separation of the area above the support cut of the pack, thereby preventing tearing of the bag upon dispensing. Situated in spaced relationship above the medial portion of support cut is a dispense cut formed between the upper edge of the raised area formed in the bag mouth area of the bag, the dispense cut configured to facilitate removal of the bag from a bag rack support piece, dispensing an individual bag from a pack of bags, while not affecting the support strength of the support cut in its operation of retaining the stack of bags upon the bag rack.

Dual optic, curvature changing accommodative iol having a fixed disaccommodated refractive state

An IOL includes a fluid optic body having a cavity defined by a sidewall, a deformable optical membrane intersecting the sidewall around an anterior circumference of the sidewall, and a posterior optic intersecting the sidewall around a posterior circumference of the sidewall. The posterior optic includes a central protrusion extending anteriorly into the cavity and the deformable optical membrane includes a ring-shaped protrusion extending posteriorly into a space between the sidewall and the central protrusion. A second optic body is spaced apart from the fluid optic body and coupled thereto via a plurality of struts. Axial compression causes the plurality of struts to deform the sidewall in a manner that increases the diameter of the cavity, modifying a curvature of the deformable optical membrane is modified. Contact between the ring-shaped protrusion and the central protrusion defines a maximum modification to the curvature of the deformable optical membrane.

Vented Dryer With Modular Heat Pump Subassembly

A vented tumble laundry dryer is provided with a heat pump subassembly configured to join with a heater inlet and a blower outlet in an open air flow circuit. The heat pump subassembly forms a closed refrigerant loop. Condenser and evaporator heat exchangers of the subassembly form parts of the open air flow circuit. Air drawn from inside the dryer cabinet passes sequentially through the condenser heat exchanger, the heater, the dryer drum, the process air fan, and the evaporator heat exchanger before being vented to the outside. The heat exchangers have a modular construction that permits one to be stacked on the other and to be angularly offset with respect to the other in both horizontal and vertical planes, thus facilitating integration of the heat pump subassembly into existing vented dryer designs.

Glide modulator system and method for a ram air parachute

A system and method is provided for shortening specific suspension lines near the center of a ram air parachute in order to distort the airfoil section only in the center section of the canopy. This distortion of the center section results in a significant alteration of the glide ratio of the parachute by simultaneously reducing the forward speed and increasing the rate of descent. Meanwhile, because the canopy is only distorted in the center section, the wingtips remain extended and pressurized so that the steering apparatus at the trailing edge of the canopy remains fully functional to direct the heading.

Dynamic pallet dimensioning with forklift taring

Cargo objects, in a freight-related environment, are dynamically dimensioned while being held at a cargo-handling position of a vehicle. A three-dimensional model is obtained comprising points representing surfaces of the vehicle. Using the model, the position of a point of reference of a first wheel of the vehicle is obtained, as is the position of a split point relative to the position of the first wheel point of reference. A driving direction of the vehicle is obtained. A splitting plane is determined, which passes through the split point and is perpendicular to the driving direction. A three-dimensional model of the cargo is detrmined by subtracting, from the vehicle three-dimensional model, the points that are positioned on the side of the splitting plane opposite to the side of the splitting plane that make up the first wheel point of reference. The volume is then determined from the cargo three-dimensional model.

Method and apparatus for real time monitoring of an electric furnace heating coil

Heating coils used in an electric furnace used to process semiconductor wafers are monitored on a real time basis by sensing the AC current in a power line delivering electrical power to the furnace. The AC current is sensed by a coil positioned around and magnetically coupled with the power line. The sensed AC current induces an AC voltage in the coil which is converted by an electrical circuit into a DC voltage. The DC voltage is used to control a solid state relay that generates an alarm signal when the value of the DC voltage is less than a preselected value indicating that an open circuit is present in the heating coil.

Mass balanced golf club

A modification to a golf club including a shaft extension and a balance weight provides a significant modification of the golf club mass distribution to affect the combination of forces and torques that the body, via the arms and hands, must exert on the golf club grip in order to impart motion to the golf ball towards the cup. A preferred design reduces the torque that the hands impart on the golf club grip to move the golf club through its controlled arc motion to strike the golf ball. The distributed weight of the golf club shaft contributes to a smoother motion of the golf club.
